My twopenneth - keep off the budget tyres.
We've got cheap Kwik Fit spurious brand tyres on the 205 - the ones you can get for £80 for four.
They're Polish, they wear badly so need balancing in no time, and the compound is soft so they wear out quick.
Oh, and you drift on corners. Absolute rubbish.

On speedo acuracy - I checked my Xantia against a very good GPS unit and it read 2mph high (as good as I can read the dial and drive at the save time) consistantly through its range from 30 to 60mph. I've just put new tyres on, so it probably reads spot on now. So don't bet on having that 10% as a margin when you pass those damm cameras...
