I got the Power hub all set up quite easily and I think :? I'm in Vodafone broadband now but it cocked up my other stuff for a few days trying to 'pair' the other gadgets to it, particularly the PowerVault solar battery software..
I can't for the life of me get my mobile to connect, works as a phone ok but if I try to look for anything else it comes up with "You're offline. try again."
My emails are still coming via talktalk it seems.

We do tend to switch with most suppliers - but have stopped short at Comms / Phone / Fibre, sticking with BT so far.

Accepted that there shouldn't be any issues with full fibre FTTP, as it's pretty robust, but having also had horrendous previous experiences with Talk Talk / Toucan and others, it's mostly the ineptitude and lack of customer service that has been the deciding factor.

I appreciate we personally have had intermittent fibre outages over the last 3-4 months, but this was an infrastructure issue with rodents and insects gnawing through the cables / nesting, for which has required new cables and better protection to the junction. We are all back on now and I was glad to see that we ended up with £600 compensation as a result. So can't complain about that.

After another repeat performance having set up the router on their stated activation date it won't connect the landline, enquiries today tell me that although I have the vodafone router all set up I'm actually still being served by Talktalk. I'm told the order was cancelled again and they need to start fresh, send me another router and go through the whole rigmarole again and be connected on some future unspecified date.
Here's a bit of the final conversation this morning after another hour and a half on the bleedn chat:

12:35:19PM
Your most recent order for your broadband was cancelled and you do currently have no active services on the account. To get broadband access and your landline sorted for you we would need to get you a new order and a new activation date. Let's get this sorted for you. Can you confirm the address where you would like the broadband?
12:38:41PM
I was told that the first order was cancelled due to not being able to 'port' the landline, then when I tried to re-order I was told that the second order was ongoing and would activate 6 th March, I set up the router on that date and it all appears to work apart form the landline. I'm baffled by all this.
12:40:55PM
I do understand what you are saying. Have you checked with Talk Talk if they are still providing you with your broadband as at the moment we are not supplying you with any broadband as you have no active services and the order was cancelled on the 21.02.2025
12:42:02PM
Maybe I made a big mistake trying to change, the rigmarole has been unbelievable
12:43:02PM
I totally understand what you are saying and I do apologise you feel this way. Let's get the broadband re submitted for you today. Can you confirm the address where you would like the broadband?
12:44:00PM
Don't go any further I'll stick with TalkTalk or find some other supplier.
