engine oil leaking

maybe not to use any of it
what else can be used???

finally got round to stripping the top
took the intercooler off and the inlet gasket was torn (the one from manifold to intercooler)
the oil breather pipe on top on rocker cover was split, another pipe was split of the oil filler neck.
rocker cover gasket leaking, an injector leak off pipe torn.
so hada mix of diesel and oil. cleaned most of it up. will replace rocker gasket during the week and get everything sorted

That liitle gasket between the intercooler and the manifold is a right pain in the back side. It's easy to fit a new one and they only cost pence. But they make a right old mess when their gone. You can now see that the engine is quite good but all the hoses and pipes go brittle. when you have fitted all the bits should be OK. While you have it all apart might as well do an oil'N'filter change. Parts at GSF are mega cheap for OM part's. The oil they sell is good as well.

filter and oil will be done once i have done the ball joints
