I believe the sensors I had on them were already aftermarket ones since the car is 10 nearly 11 years old. They were dirty as anything and had visible wear to them. So the previous owner I believe had them replaced without having the service book next to me, if I remember correctly.
I have still got the ones from the replacement, they allowed me to keep them just for something like this because I am a new driver and I’ve contacted the garage but they were going to charge me again so I said I’ll just go straight to the dealer this time. Never going back to that garage again if that is the case. However, a few of my friends as well as on this forum are saying it could be a faulty wire connection instead and as mentioned my mums fella had a Quick Look and he said it does look from what he could see that there is slight damage to the outside part of the cable to where there is a slit.

Re: Sensors Failing
If the rear sensors were replaced, then I would put money on this being a damaged wire. I had to repair on our 2017 car earlier in the year, the damage location was very small, but the wire was caput.

Seemed like it was just rubbed through and touching so I taped it up and put it back together....to be greeted with a permanent fault. Stripped it back out, and put a connector in, wire just fell apart, I think I had scraped out all the copper! Trip out this afternoon and no warnings needs new rear pads though....

Re: Sensors Failing
Well if that’s the case, I’m definitely not heading back to that garage but I suffer with ADHD, do things in a whim and then regret it when people say otherwise. My mums partner definitely thinks it’s the wire but I’m dropping my car off tomorrow and they will look at it on Monday for me first thing. I am just looking forward to getting my car back working. The high revving has really done my head in though as I got so scared and just hope it is something to do with the sensors all going wrong.
I do really appreciate the replies though!
