It has developed a "chirp" on start-up.....and I cannot tells where from as I cannot hear where from whilst starting it....

It's giving you the 'bird' ;)

Almost certainly aux. belt, aux. belt tension, tensioners or crank pulley... We can check on Thursday... Try with the aux. belt removed...

Do the water test , tip a little on the belt if it stops its the belt , then when dry tip a little on the tensioner wheel if that stops then its that , i think .. was a while back when i did it someone could check me if im wrong.

If theres no noise before you tip the water , your doing it to the wrong car .

New mix paint arrived, still way off....it is brown now !

It is a Maroon coloured car not a "sh1t-Brown one....

New tyres will be fitted tomorrow

Whilst its bum is in the air waiting for tyres I thought I would clean up a few areas, knock off any surface rust/yellow dust and carry out some "protection" for the years ahead.

Cleaning up and getting rid of the yellow dust on the spare wheel carrier.

That's in remarkably good condition Alasdair, usually they look more like colanders by now!

Make it really special by painting it the same colour as the car ;)
