xantia resonating front end

Post by merseyscouse »

Ihave a x reg Xantia 110 hdi and for the last year or so i have had an intermittent 'annoyance' which is now getting much more pronounced......
When the vehicle is hot i get a strange noise from the front, i can only describe it as a high pitched noise but i can feel it resonating through the steering wheel and in the footwell. If i touch the brakes slightly it stops, if i put a couple of inches of steering lock on it stops and it does not do it when i am stationary.
I have had new front tyres, brake pads, brake discs and the fluid replaced but no joy.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

My guess would be the hydraulic system. Have you had any spheres replaced, especially the accumulator?
