Please see my response to SterkeYerke above: viewtopic.php?p=825843#p825843
You will no doubt be in the same situation, the 42.01.72.32_NAC-r0 version came out about March 2020 and the 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 version in June 2021. So 5 and 4 years ago, so because of the length of time since the release, the certificates have likely expired, preventing installation.
You need to complain to Peugeot Head Office and tell them there's nothing the dealer or anyone else can do (if they try and refer you to the dealer) as it's down to the department that release and sign the firmware's software. If they get enough complaints from others they may realise they need to re-release the firmware with updated certificates.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
The garage that sold us the 508 got back to us today. They've spoken to a Peugeot dealership. Apparently Peugeot are aware of the issue and they already have a different firmware version ready for our car, which will be installed later this week. If everything goes to plan it'll be fully updated by friday.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Great, thanks for the update. Hopefully they will have also updated their servers too. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know when this has been completed so I can start providing (hopefully) the revised versions to members.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Sure! Obviously I don't know when PSA will update their servers, but I'll let you know which version has been installed on our car when we get it back. They might install a bridge version and then immediately install the latest though, in which case we still don't know what the latest bridge version is. I don't think the garage we bought the car from will know either, as despite being friendly, they didn't seem to know what they were doing. I think the dealership they'll drive the car to will probably do all the work.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Bonjour,
N° VIN: VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Merci de me donner si possible une solution.

Despite being a 'French Car Forum' there are very few Francophone members and your question will go unanswered.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Good morning,
Yesterday I wanted to update the software of my 2019 Citroën C5 air cross, but during the update, in the middle the screen informed me that there was a file problem, and since then the system is blocked, I tried to put the old 2023 update that I had on a USB key and it tells me that it doesn't have the right version, I went to Citroën, and it told me said that the unit must have had its hard drive crashed and that the system may need to be replaced. On my vehicle I had version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0, I would like to try the reinjector but I cannot find it to download it.
N° VIN: VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Attached is the progress of the installation before blocking. When I try to put version 2023, it tells me version not compatible.
If you can, please send me the software version
44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 and give me the procedure to install it.
THANKS.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi
You cannot install older Firmware over a later version - even if the previous later update failed - by this stage you cannot revert back.
As you have already downloaded the latest firmware (44.07.33.32_NAC-r0) yourself using the App, the server is not allowing it to be re-downloaded, so I can't provide your licence file. I can however provide you with the firmware:
Firmware Version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0.
Next, these systems DO NOT have Hard Disk Drives, they have internal Flash Memory. But, yes, they can still have issues when firmware fails to install.
So in order to try and reset the unit, have the latest firmware ready to go on a FAT32 Formatted USB Stick and try to reset the BSI as per the instructions below. However instead of waiting for the recommended number of minutes, Leave the battery disconnected for at least 30 minutes if you can.. This should allow time for the Head Unit (NAC) to reset itself whilst the power is removed.
When you complete the restart procedure, insert the firmware and see if it will allow it to install - do not disconnect the USB stick whilst it is updating - if you do that you will hae the same problems. Also, you must keep the engine running, otherwise the vehicle's energy management system can kick in and corrupt the update process.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi, as per my previous posts, the issue is likely to be the age of the firmware (released in June 2021), so the certificates may have expired, preventing installation.shahircn wrote: 08 Jan 2025, 13:09Hello, I recently bought a Citroen C5 Aircross Puretech Shine 2019. All I can do is suggest you contact your main dealer and complain - so that they can inform Head Office and get the firmware file certificates updated to allow installation.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
PSA returned "update" for my car. Well... They (again) did half of the (remaining) job. Now It's not displaying "Version not compatible.." stuff but not updating either. Literally after "No media content on USB" nothing is happening (I've waited long enough). Do they test it before publish?

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
The 'No Media' message is perfectly normal. This is because the system first searches the USB for media files like MP3s which it is designed to do. Once it can't find any files it brings up the message, but if you wait, it then looks for a map or firmware update file and proceeds to do the update unless there are other issues.
The current issues are that some people (either current or previous owners) have left updating the system for too long, and the firmware installation certificates have expired on some older firmware, preventing the installation. It has been referred to in multiple recent posts above. If this is the reason, you need to ask your local dealer to report this as an issue so that PSA release an updated version with new certificates. The more people that do this the more likely Head Office will become aware of it.
