Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Thanks for that. The licence key that you provided seems to have a different file name to the one that was provided by the Peugeot update app. (This software update I got through the Peugeot update app) failed.
Could this be the reason it failed?
I haven't tried the software update that you have provided yet.
Thanks
Jacob

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
No, you’ve not followed the instructions in the link. Please read the part about licence files - you have not created the folder for the licence…..
Don’t mix and match the software or licences as these are specific for the vehicle and firmware version.

Oh yes sorry, I need to put the licence file into a folder called licence.GiveMeABreak wrote: 04 Nov 2024, 10:40 No, you’ve not followed the instructions in the link. Please read the part about licence files - you have not created the folder for the licence…..

I haven't mixed the firmware or licence file these are the ones your provided me.
The files from the Peugeot update app did not work and shows screen saying software incompatible with hardware and then goes onto a blue software loading on demand screen.
I have just tried the firmware and key you provided all setup correctly in the usb drive however I'm still getting the same update failed firmware not compatible with software.
I don't suppose you have access to the previous firmware version and licence key for my car that I could try?
Thanks
Jacob

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Jacob, please change the name of the folder to license. This is essential, and as per the guidance. The specific spelling is a requirement (it's a French thing).

SOLUTION...
if anyone has the blue screen reading software loading on demand. To solve the issue, clear a usb stick, load the map update only to the usb stick via peugeot update and plug it into your car, the screen should go black for about 20 seconds and then reload with the peugeot logo and work as normal. its up to you if you update the map i chose not too i just wanted the screen and all the settings working again!

Peugeot 5008 - Update Issue
Morning All,
I've seen this posted all over the forum, thought it best to post my own issue, so not to hijack someone elese's.
Car - Peugeot 5008 2020 (20 plate) - GT Line
Problem - Update fails to deploy
Error:- Version Update not compatible with hardware
Background:- Notififed of said update via app. Emailed me link, downloaded Peugeot Update App, Entered VIN, followed onscreen advise to no avail.
> Have tried 11 different sticks.
> Formatted slowly (not quick) FAT32
> Manually copied update to stick extracted, used proposed format of SVL, licence key and update--info etc
All above fail.
Assume there must be something wrong with the files from Peugeot.
I see there is an option to give you my VIN number to obtain latest update for touchscreen. There is an update for maps but I haven't tried this currently as I have touch screen issues (random freezes etc), hoping the update resolves it.
If ones assumption is correct, where can I securely send you my VIN, thank you!
Steve.

I've moved your post to this Thread that deals with all NAC /RCC updates. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff. I'll then see what system you have and what updates, if any, there are. It's not uncommon for there to be issues - hence this growing thread....

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi there, same issue for me unfortunately...
I'm trying to update my Citroën C3 Aircross 2018 NAC with the latest 20.08.50.92_NAC-r0 firmware, but unfortunately I'm still having trouble.
Current versions (updated july 2024) :
- NAC : 21.08.87.32_NAC-r1
- Maps : 27.0.0-r0
VIN Number : VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
The update is marked available on the My Citroën app. I have used the Citroen Update software on Windows to format and load a 32 GB USB stick. Unfortunately I get "No media found" followed by "Version is not compatible with hardware". I have tried the following :
- Re-format USB stick with default allocation unit size instead of 16 kB
- Remove the license folder and connect the NAC to WiFi via phone Access Point to grab license OTA
- In this case, I don't get any "not compatible" error, but nothing happens
- Copy the files from links provided by GiveMeABreak for other users (which I understand is not recommended) - didn't change anything of course
- Poke into the menu for software versions, and into available updates (list is empty), to try and trigger an update message.
Here's what the file/folder structure looks like on the USB stick. Any ideas of what I could try ?
Thanks !

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
So don't expect it to work with somebody else's licence file if this is what you have done, as they are unique for the intended vehicle.
Firmware Version 21.08.90.52_NAC-r0
TheMitten Licence File
Instructions for Updating NAC or RCC Firmware, Maps & Licences
The 'No Media Detected' message is perfectly normal as when you first insert a USB, it looks for MP3 files or other media, so just wait for this message to disappear then it will detect the update.
If you are still unsuccessful, this can be because of previously failed update attempts and the system can get 'stuck'. So in this case, follow the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure and leave the vehicle for a good 10 minutes or so to ensure the NAC unit totally powers down. Remember to follow the guidance and DO NOT open any doors or press any switches whilst waiting for the time period before disconnecting the battery, otherwise the networks will re-awaken, defeating the purpose.
