Exactly, i had original radio without navigation system, old SMEG this one.
Now friend sold me set from 2016 car (new typew display, and headunit), i sucefully installed it using aliexpress adapters.

Now even Android Auto works,
But what i found, i have one of oldest firmware, i'm just wondering is it worth upgrading?
I'm kind of IT guy, and like to have everthing updated as possible

Everything now works ok (i mean android auto, this was main reason of my upgrade).
Thanks for attention.

No, I can't help you as the unit is tied to the original VIN - and firmware is locked to the authorised vehicle, so it won't work. You should be able to install maps, but not firmware.

I didn't bother looking at the pictures as all I use is the VIN for the updates and it's not-authorised, as I mentioned.

I'll need your VIN to check version and whether you have WiFi on-board for authorisation of updates.

Ok ;-) Thanks for Your efforts.
So its time to accept as it is, and be happy that AA works ;-)

Having new display, will be easy way to upgrade to NAC maybe in future, regards.

If ninjahwdp can supply the VIN from the donor vehicle might that help?

Not really, as the Head unit would have to be VIN-coded to the vehicle it is installed in to operate correctly in any case, so the authorisation will fail (via WiFi) or via Licence as the VIN will not be authorised I suspect.

Original VIN won't be any good if the unit has a different VIN. Licence file won't correlate, so cant help.

Hey,
I'm having problems downloading latest update files for my car. Any chance for assistance?
Thanks!

Edit:
Got it.
I had a problem with getting the software "Citroen Update" from the intended site, but it kept giving me errors. Eventually I got it from the italian site.

Hi,All
I have a DS 5 2013, which was equipped radio of RD45.
I bought an NAC wave 2 with coding to my VIN and installed in this car.
But these days I checked the NAV version was:21.07.16.32_NAC_r0(published on 20Apr 2018)
And I found the latest version is 21.08.90.52_NAC_r0(published on 17Oct 2022)
I downloaded this firmware and decompress to USB sticker(FAT32 file system, formated, in the root directory)
Then when I insert this USB sticker to the port in the glove box, the NAC informed that [version not compatible with the hardware]
I checked the relative post and seems like I need a license( I didnt see the wifi connection in my NAC, that means no OTA).
My VIN number is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
That would be greatful if somebody can help offer the license.
I know the AC panel was not suitable for this NAC, but it doesnt matter because I only use CarPlay.(Now I know actually I only need RCC than NAC, if I dont need the map inside of the radio)

Let me be clear on this as there have been several of you that have made requests for NAC Updates in vehicles that did NOT have NAC units factory-fitted.

I do not support vehicles that did not have NAC or RCC units fitted at the factory!

You should of known that upgrading to a NAC or RCC on a vehicle that never had this fitted as standard can mean you are stuck on the firmware the unit has at the time of the upgrade.

Firmware is authorised on a VIN / vehicle basis, so if you have had your NAC unit VIN-coded to your vehicle's VIN, in order for it to work correctly, you cannot expect Firmware updates. Firmware updates are licenced to the VIN of authorised vehicles (that originally had these factory-fitted). So the system I use will NOT generate a licence for a vehicle that never had a NAC fitted as standard. Even if I use the VIN from the donor vehicle, the licence file will not authorise the firmware update (as you are seeing in your screenshots) as it is tied to the original VIN and not the VIN that you have programmed into the NAC.

So please don't ask me for updates in this situation, I only support vehicles that had RCC / NAC units factory-fitted.

I would to know what is the difference between recent posted files link.
I.e. :
=> Firmware 6_0422_23.3I37.1
=> Firmware 44.07.05.22_NAC-r0
=> RCC Firmware Version 6_0422_23.3I37.1 (I used this one)

I ask because I have an annoying problem with my Poco X6 Pro 5G (with new HyperOS operating system based on Adndoid 14) mobile phone: I have a lot of different android auto errors (comunication error 7, 14 and 16).
I followed all giude fo troubleshooting found online but errors remains.
Main bad behaviour is android auto image is update more or less in 1 frame for each minute. And Infotainmente doesn't respond to touch or better, it respond but video is not update in realtime is update only with one new image each 60 seconds.
I know this is very strange but it is real.

I can use other listed firmware on my Opel Corsa F or they are for other cars?
Hi,

I have just bought a Xiaomi 14T.
At first, I thought that the issue is with the cable.
Bust as I dig more about this issue I come to realize that the BOSCH multimedia does not support Android 14...
That's because the Mirror link software on the phone is updated. and at least from what I read, Mirror Link is supported 3 versions backward.

Anyway, I'm looking for a W/A to this issue.

No need for that, just provide your VIN if you require the map update. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.
