As for traffic sign recognition, you'll know if you have it or not as it will change as you pass different road speed signs.
The system relies on both map and camera (if fitted), with the camera taking precedence.

Here's the map for you - forget the Citroen App, it's totally useless.

Thanks and Regards,

Thanks for the update you sent. I've just used it and it's all gone perfectly and I now have the latest maps

One other query I have. After the update, I connected a USB stick (containing my music files into the same port that I used for the map update).
It reported 'USB memory stick cannot be read'. The memory stick is USB3, 256GB and formatted as FAT 32. It consists of folders for artists then sub-divided into albums where the sub-folders contain the songs in mp3 format. It recognises everything fine when plugged into a Windows PC.
The music data does take up around 130GB on the stick, but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't recognise the data? which is in a standard mp3 format.
Thanks and Regards,
Ian.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
How many files do you have? If you're not sure, put the USB into a PC. Select the USB in Explorer and press the CTRL and the 'A' key to select all the folders on the USB. Whilst these are selected, press ALT and the Enter Key. This will start calculating the number of files on the USB. Let me know how many it reports or upload a screenshot. There may be a limit on the number of files it can read.
It also takes a while to create a playlist in memory when you insert a new USB with files on, so may take a while to compile.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I've just checked the properties and it reports that there are 35,463 files, in 2655 folders (artists subdivided into albums) and the size is 136 GB.GiveMeABreak wrote: 11 Sep 2024, 15:26 How many files do you have? I guess that this would take some time to catalogue. It's just that I kind of expected to see the USB drive appear in the 'source' display, even if it takes some time to read the details. I can try leaving it to see if it eventually reads the files but best to do that when I am on a longer journey.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Try a USB stick with only a handful of files, not in folders, and see how it copes with that.
Should be near instantaneous.
Apples and oranges I know but the Civic I had until recently used a USB. I had several hundred mp3s in a couple of dozen folders and it took only a couple of seconds for it to begin playing.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I think you may have too many files unfortunately. I know some earlier pre-NAC units seemed to have anywhere around the 5000 limit, but I can't confirm on NAC as I don't have that much music!

I’ll try again and see if it works if I leave the stick in for longer. I’ll also first try with a much smaller selection.
did have a Renault megane until last week and a duplicate stick which worked ok in there.
Thanks to all for the assistance.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi GiveMeABreak
I'm amazed by your continued support for people here! Thanks in advance.
I've been scouring around looking through various forums etc trying to find more about these updates.
I have a C3 Aircross VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. MyCitroen shows the 44.07.05.22_NAC-r0 available, but i've hit the same behaviour with Citroen Update on windows / mac failing at 0 to update it.
I've so far not managed to find any information about what a 42.XXXXX version to 44.X would fix, I've yet to find any release notes. It's labeled as "Touch screen" software, would this be also likely to fix an issue with the gauge cluster LCD forgetting it's in auto wiper mode?
Without release notes, i'm unsure what i'm missing, or what I could potentially lose, by asking you to provide me with the firmware link?
I'm also curious you mention the "On-board WIFI". It sometimes shows connected services available, I notice my car had the option of sharing a WiFi network, but never managed to get it to actually give me any.
Any advice would be great, thank you.

Regarding WiFI - this simply means that your vehicle can be used an an WiFi 'Access Point' from a connected Smartphone, so passengers can connect to the vehicle's access point and take advantage of the data connection from the paired smartphone. It does not provide a independent WiFi source itself.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
You're welcome.
PSA don't provide bug fixes are changelogs for firmware these days, more's the pity, as it would certainly help us with problem solving if we knew a particular update would fix a specific issue. But mostly, they provide more compatibility with newer phones and fix issues they are made aware of.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi Marc,
I've given it another try today to load my mp3 files with a much smaller memory stick - 64GB containing 690 mp3 files within 46 folders. Total size of the music is 3.5GB. Format was the same as before as FAT32.
It did the same again and wouldn't read it, just like before. I left it plugged in for 15 minutes but it made no difference.
I'm not sure what else I can try other than formatting as NTFS
Regards,
Ian.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
That won't help as I'm pretty sure that they state the pen drive needs to be formatted in FAT or FAT32.ianavey999 wrote: 14 Sep 2024, 13:56 I'm not sure what else I can try other than formatting as NTFS.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
1) Make sure that the format is in the acceptable kbps range as specified in the manual.ianavey999 wrote: 14 Sep 2024, 13:56 Hi Marc,

2) Try just a few files only and check the ID3 tags. Sometimes if the tags are incorrect the system may just skip them.
