Ok, so confirmed that you have the latest Wave 3 version of the firmware. This is supposed to bridge over to Wave 4, but won't be the first time I've seen issues.

What I suggest you do, is rather than go from your current (and the last version of wave 3), straight to the latest available version for Wave 4 systems (which is 4 versions ahead), you may want to try just installing the next firmware in sequence and let me know if this works:

44-02-13-12_NAC-r0

If this works, then I can provide you with the successive version until you reach the latest.

I have C4 Cactus 2018, VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
according to my mobile application My Citroen updates are possible.
Map update available (16.0.0-r0)
Operating system update available (44.07.05.22_NAC-r0)
But I can upgrade using Citroen_Update_Setup_0.1.24.exe only to 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0.

can you help please
Please see my last post above, as the same problem likely applies to you. Use the same link to try and update to the next version, not the latest - first of all. If that works and the firmware is bridged to wave 4, then you may be able to go directly to the latest version.

Marc, thank you very much,
with your help and the 44-02-13-12_NAC-r0 file, I successfully bridged the Wave 3 to Wave 4 firmware.
Wave 3 to Wave 4.JPG
After that I installed the last firmware 44.07.05.22_NAC-r0 directly without any problems.
Last.JPG
And finally I installed one map (16.0.0) size 196.1MB also without problems, it took 28 minutes.

Next time I will try to install all the maps. I hope it doesn't take much time.
I think all those map files are always copied to the internal memory.

Once again, thank you very much.

You're welcome, no problem. Yes, all the maps are installed to internal memory, so unless you are going to the whole of Europe, it doesn't make sense to keep installing the entire European maps, as this will just increase write cycles of the flash memory and reduce lifespan. I would just keep the maps on for your own country and maybe other countries you are going to visit. Each time you update the maps, it just overwrites all that data again... so little point unless you need them. You can always install the maps again at any time if you need another country.

I have a Citroen C5X Shine Pack 180 bought in 09/2022 (VIN: VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] ), but it seems there is no firmware available for some time.
The current firmware version is nhw.1.19.44.8 and map version 16.5.3+pi21.1 (42666 Europe) 10/2020

The other thing that is puzzling to me is some posts I saw of the MyCitroen app showing available updates, but mine is not showing anything like that.

Is there some kind of website which (even with subscription) shows changelogs and available updates?

Thanks!

Your system should update automatically over the air (OTA), so you won't have any updates delivered by other means. This thread is only for Connected Navigation systems, not the later IVI systems.

Ok, thanks. Seems the OTA updates are not working because the firmware version is more than a year old

As long as everything is working, don't sorry about it, but if your maps are not updating either and you have a contract for these updates, go back to the dealer. They should be able to advise if there is an issue and if there is a firmware update, they may be able to do it for you.

Hi,

I have a 2023 model Citroen C3 Aircross Feel Bold (VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]) and my car has currently 13003 kilometers. About 3 months ago, I suddenly started having problems with the touch screen. While the menu buttons next to the screen work without any problems, the touch screen touch sometimes works and sometimes does not. There is no particular pattern to this downtime. When I get in the vehicle, the touchscreen does not work, but after a certain period of time, the touchscreen starts working. Sometimes, when I first get into the vehicle, the touchscreen works, but after driving the vehicle for a while, the touchscreen stops working. Sometimes the touch screen does not work properly at all.

Since this constant problem occurred irregularly, I thought that this problem was caused by software rather than hardware. At the end of April, I implemented the last April update, but there was no change. The touch screen still does not work properly. What would you suggest me to do at this point? Is it possible for you to send me any software to fix the problem?

I suggest you take it back to the dealer as you should still have manufacturer warranty on it. Don't try anything yourself until you have taken it back to Citroen as you may invalidate any warranty.

Hey Marc, would you please check if latest updates and license are available for my Citroen C4 Cactus. VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]?
Thanks in advance.

UPDATE. I have tried to update to PSA_ovip-int-firmware-version_42-03-33-42_NAC-r0_NAC_EUR_WAVE3.tar, but it says "Is not supported with the hardware". My current version of firmware is 30.05.50.41_NAC-r0. Is there a different path how to update from that old 2017 firmware to the new one?

I've been a little busy, so can't always respond to requests as quickly as you may want.

Regarding the vehicle above, you should also be aware there is an urgent safety update needed since 2022! I suggest you contact Citroen to get it booked in under the following reference: HLX

Details:
HLX - Timing belt

Vehicle reliability and your safety are a major concern for CITROEN. As such, the manufacturer has asked us to update the software on your vehicle, in order to improve braking assistance system diagnostics, and prevent any risk of reduction or loss of braking assistance. We will also check your vehicle's braking assistance system components, which could be damaged by deterioration of the timing belt.
Your vehicle has the wet belt system and needs an urgent check and update, so I wouldn't wait. The work will be free of charge.

Regarding the NAC firmware you are on the older Wave 3 system, so you can't just upgrade to the latest Wave 4 without the 'Bridging Firmware' version being applied first.

First install 31.09.46.62_NAC-r0

Next install:

42.03.33.42_NAC-r0

This should update to Wave 4, then you can install the latest:

44.07.05.22_NAC-r0

In all cases this is the licence file:

Hey Marc, do you have any information on whether a newer IVI system firmware (current nhw.1.19.44.8) is available for my car? I tried to ask the dealer over the phone, but they can't (or won't) tell until I visit for a regular service interval in July.
