Hello i have a Citroen C3 II (SC_) from 2016 and I've been looking everywhere for how to update, I wanted to try this method, could you provide me with the license file for my VIN:VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Thank you so much in advance
I think you have a more important issue on your vehicle at present to worry about than a telematic update!
Your vehicle has a warning not to be driven from Citroen due to the dangerous Takata Airbags installed on your vehicle:
MK7 - Driver, Passenger Airbag (Takata)
- As previously advised by the letter sent to you, Citroën/DS asks you to stop driving your vehicle equipped with Takata airbags. - Please click on the 'check-in' red button. - By completing the “check-in”, the repair for your Citroën/DS vehicle will be organized as soon as possible. An alternative solution for your mobility needs will also be considered. - In the meantime, please ensure that your vehicle will not be used, and all persons with access to the vehicle are informed accordingly.
This recall was issued on 26th April 2024 and has reference: MK7
I suggest you do as they say and not drive the vehicle, but call the nearest dealership and quote the recall reference. All work will be free of charge.
Back on the issue of your firmware - I can't help with this as you don't have a NAC / RCC system, you have a SMEG unit and don't provide updates for this system, but seriously, do get that airbag issue sorted as these can do the following:
Overview
Tens of millions of vehicles with Takata air bags are under recall. Long-term exposure to high heat and humidity can cause these air bags to explode when deployed. Such explosions have caused injuries and deaths.
NHTSA urges vehicle owners to take a few simple steps to protect themselves and others from this very serious threat to safety.
DO NOT DRIVE
Do Not Drive warnings have been issued for some of the vehicles.
