Thanks a bunch, in advance.

Thanks very much for the links. Unfortunately though, when I plug in the USB the car tells me that the update is not compatible with the hardware in the car, which I find rather confusing.

You probably have nor created the licence folder on the USB and extracted the licence file download into this folder.

If you don't, it will not authorise the update.

This is what the USB drive should look like:

You're quite right... I did not. I extracted the .tar so I had an SWL folder and an updateinfo.xml on the USB, and then I just dragged the licence file in next to those.

I'll make the folder and try again. Thanks ever so much :)

Edit: That was indeed the problem. Thanks again, car is all updated and ready to go!

Humm, yeah so I plugged the USB stick into the car and it popped up on the display that there was no media on the stick but nothing else happened? Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks.

Yes, this is because you have copied the files across incorrectly.

For your system you should have the following on the route of the USB and nothing else.
NAC Files.png
Copy the downloaded licence file into the 'licence' folder (that I told you to create, spelled exactly as shown in the image).

Make sure you do not let your zip utilty create the full pathname of the firmware on the USB or the update will fail.

For your RCC system it may be different, you should have the following on your USB. For RCC systems, it creates a different folder instead of the SWL:
rcc update.png
Also when you insert the USB, it starts looking for media like MP3 files (which the system can play from USB), just cancel this and it should pick up the update file.

Make sure you have only the file structure as shown on the route of your USB.

RCC Firmware 6_0422_23.3I37.1

rab497 Licence file

Make sure you format a blank USB as FAT32 and create a folder called licence, where you should then copy the licence fie into.

You should end up with the following files and folders in the route of your USB only:

Ahh this may be why, I did rename the rcc_update folder to SWL, I will try renaming back to rcc_update and see if that helps.

Thanks.

I Extracted the "PSA_ovip-int-firmware-version_44-07-05-22_NAC-r0_NAC_EUR_WAVE4.tar" directly to My USB stick, and I did create the Folder "licence" , so I had a SWL, Update info and licence on the USB stick. Bought another 32gb usb stick, so Ill try again.
