xantia 1.9td 1995 suspension problem

Post by zorgman »

hi
heres the fault guys and gals
cars got anti sink with extra sphere on back
right then come out to car and start her up car drops at rear instantly (just about) i believe its the middle sphere needs replacing for that
but i go away make a cuppa watch a footy match etc go back out car is still sitting at same hieght the only way to make it rise is to either
A: drive the car on its honkers then it lifts to the correct hieght
B: move the handle to mid position up she goes then drop back to norm
any one had this problem
the linkages are all greased up plent of lhm hieght adjusters work perfect as she always goes to the same hieght ive adjusted the link on back to make here higher but no difference so put it back to norm
is this all revolving round that one sphere causing the grief
many thanks

Without going through loads of hydraulic theory, change the the rear centre and front sphere on engine block. Do the citerobics, up down up down several times with the footy on the radio and see where you get with it. The car is the right age for the those two spheres to be more than ready for replacement. Caution with the rear centre sphere, theres a pipe into it and you hold the pipe nut with a spanner and turn the sphere to remove the pipe nut, not the nut from the sphere if you see my point. R
