Good use of a penny! And yes, if there were any lubrication problems the engine would be toast by now...

Hi Jim, got 2 hospital vists today im off soon , Each key turn is getting more and more exciting :-D Once the 308cc has been sorted i might then investigate the pressure senor , its just a pain removing all the front , but hey at least the weather is fair ! Im hoping it could just need a new washer as i used the old one, new one didnt come with one & be seated ... £11 for a new washer  me thinks someone knows a trick of not adding one to the product ! What a nerve .... oh on a serious note ... I had a letter from East Sussex Police telling me i was doing 32 in a 30. Must of been the pot hole i hit , made me go faster after bouncing out of it , oh well off i go another day another biscute.

Oh dear, sorry to hear about the speeding issue Husky :( Are they prosecuting or just slapping your wrist?

Yes, I was staggered at the cost of a new sump plug washer... Happily, they can be reused no end of times ;)

All best with the hospital visits...

Slapped wrist , funny thing i got a right mouthful yesterday for doing 40 in a 40 zone with almost every car behind over taking me ! As i say i will take the front off , test the sensor make sure the loom is ok . Maybe the sensor could have a bit of plastic from the filter from the oil feed bango bolt as that was toast so it was removed, maybe that being removed has possible lowered slightly the oil pressuer too, were find out on a free day, im having a cuppa then back into the ward again. Thanks for your concerns and things Jim , kind of you to ask , and i hope your all good too . Watch this space for my findings & results .

Delighted it's just a slapped wrist Husky :)

Indeed, if you keep to the speed limit and make use of the limiter it infuriates just about everybody else...

Time for an update.

Well. MOT . The car sailed it flew threw its test , the chap spoke of how clean it all is and he can its being looked after BUT... he mentioned the flywheel judder & said it will need replacement. So with that off i went drove home feeling good ,that feeling of relief . Its nice knowing your all good for another year. The car has worked hard & coped . But heres the part i wasnt wanting to happen. Saturday evening the clutch pedal dropped to the floor i just made it home and just got it on the drive !
Sunday morning i checked both slave & master cylinders to see if they were leaking , no dry as a bone all ok. I postioned a camera near the fork and when watching it back it was creaking like mad. I was working the clutch pedal with my hands while camera was recording my findings. I will say the clutch did now and again smell like it was burning & a while after the mass overhaul march this year the judder came back & i needed the car for many personal reasons & it just did what i needed it to do just did what we all do & carry on regardless....... stupid me....
Ive spoken to my mechanic pals there on board , ive purchased everything whats needed & now wait the parts & the booking date for the work to be done.
I was looking to forget the car & buy a secind hand banger BUT pros beat the cons & this repair would still work out cheaper too, plus i really do like the car to bits , as Jim would know they area great mini mpv to drive they are full of charm they draw you in , so there we go . Another repair to come & maybe a write up too. Sorry for my spelling im not the best , & my tablet seems to of gone funny after an uodate and some letters wont type now and again whan typing ! Keep your eyes open for more to come

This route now has 4 people everyday sitting around pointing cameras at you , i just let the car drive itself cruise control is so good

This road to be honest is pretty wide it could cope with 40, but 30 it is fair enough , but i was told those who live there want it down to 20 .

Funny thing here is this , i was swore at by a lady waiting to pull out of a side part of this main road , she called me an something hole snail and something else , so i stopped & asked what her problem was & she said people like me driving so slow ... i then remembered where id seen her face , this is one of the people who do the speed guns for that road !!! Talk abiut a wtf moment ... theres nowt as queer as folk !

Ok so the flywheel took 16 hours to arrive its an OEM part & was confirmed by the company that make them for GSA. As you can see its single.

There is a post online somewhere i found that said by an owner of same car as mime that 1.6hdi 90 is single (solid) flywheel, this part had the number 532T2.
More to follow, the wheels of repair slowly turn
