Rneg and yatour bluetooth kit.

Post by Jekyll »

Hi all.

I have a 2009 2.0 hdi C5 tourer and have the Rneg audio system. Upon reading many threads, I've seen you cannot stream music via the Bluetooth but keep seeing a Yatour kit being fitted via the CD changer port.

However I cannot find the correct kit for my said car. Would someone be so kind as to link the correct one if possible please.

Many thanks.

They were used as alternatives on Amazon and other places - but there are better solutions now. When I get a minute I'll get some alternatives..

That would be fantastic, thank you.

I would just like a plug and play kit that enables streaming if possible. Happy to not have the screen displayed tracks as I currently use the Aux in the glove compartment. It works but I'd prefer something more substantial.

I can supply vin number or pics of said unit if it helps.

The issue with the AUX inputs are that they simply only that. There's no control for tracks or anything like as it's a simple analogue input.

Have a look through these - basically they are FM transmitters, so you can attach either an SD card, USB key to the unit and it will output the MP3 tracks via FM transmission to a spare channel. A phone can be connected via Bluetooth if needed for navigation or phone calling - each have different features depending on what you need, but bear in mind the C5s 12V socket as this is is at a slight angle and recessed, so may need to be factored in when choosing something:

Thanks Marc.

I've never seen those before. I do have a in car cig lighter phone charger by the same brand as the top on in link and its good. But I have to remove the lead to plug my phone in the aux if I want to listen to music via aux & Spotify as my phone only has one charge point and no jack point (Samsung s22).

So in theory, I could replace my charger with the top one in your link and use it via Bluetooth to play music on Spotify and even charge at the same time? If that works, I'll be well happy and a cheap option.

Basically attached to the device whether a USB key, a phone, SD Card etc' will have the output sent to the car's Head Unit via a Spare FM frequency that you choose.

Some have more features than others, so depends what you need.

Just to give a heads up, I fitted a FM Bluetooth transmitter that Marc above kindly recommended. This one:

SYNCWIRE 5.1 Bluetooth Car Adapter FM Transmitter - 38W PD & QC 3.0 Fast Car Charger Bluetooth FM Wireless Radio Adapter Car Kit, Hands-Free Calling, Support USB Disk https://amzn.eu/d/bXL0Wth

It works fine. It has some nice features but a few little niggles which you can live with. It does connect automatically when you turn on the ignition which is good. I open up the Spotify app and it plays straight away. As expected, it's only volume control via the steering wheel, to change the track you have to flick your phone screen. No big deal or you just leave it to play the next tracks in que. It has a little blue ring light around the outer edge which lights up and flicks to the bass, but if you dont want this, all you have to do is hold the button to turn off. These are the only issues I've found so far.

I've set the radio on memory 6 to radio 1 as I don't listen to it but it's a radio station that's always got strong signal I thought. So 1 - 5 is what ever radio stations I've saved and 6 is Spotify. It does have a bass booster but it's way to bassy for me personally.

All on all, for £20 is a worthy investment. You can stream your music/use maps and still charge your phone, you just have to manually select/skip tracks.

Thanks for the update - I must add in my disclaimer under the recommendation 8-[ ( :-D ), as I've personally not had the need for anything like it, but just thought something like that may help you get round the issue without major surgery on your vehicle's head unit. As you say for £20 it won't break the bank and worth a try.

Thanks for letting others know.
