I never had a pet but I buy Tesco dog treats, three of my neighbours in the adjacent ex council houses have between them a Labrador a Terrier of some sort and I think a Boxer, I treat them over the fence when they're out.
If I can be heard in the garden the Lab gives out one bark to let me know she's there, the Boxer sits by the fence and cries like a baby until I treat him, the Terrier just sits and stares me out. :)

Harry Metcalfe cropped up on another thread the other day and today this video landed in my inbox. I enjoyed it very much, both for the insight into the work and the demonstration of Harry's ability to be down to earth and realistic in all his videos, give it a go, you will enjoy it even if only for the machinery!! :-D

I like the 'Farming 4x4' button in the Grenadier that shuts up all the 'bing-bong' nanny warnings if you don't put your belt on etc :)

I sat down to watch today's footy and a limerick came to mind:

There was a red club with no Klopp,
Whose Mo turned up with no mop,
When out on the pitch,
They played at Ipswich,
So will they come out on top?

:-D

One I heard on the radio the other day:

There was a young man from Peru
Whose limericks stopped at line two.

There was a young lady called Dee
Who once drove a red two see vee
One night in the dark
She got lost in the park
When she'd only popped in for a pee

Second line needs an extra beat/syllable - "Who once drove a red two see vee" perhaps

Thanks Alec, now sorted, Not sure how I missed that! #-o
Try this for size:

There was a young fellow called Dave,
Who found a dead whore in a cave,
He said "It's disgusting,
But only needs dusting,
And think of the money I'll save!"

In my yoof me & my mates used to compose limericks over beers in the local.
One I'll always remember, composed by one of the girls is;

Vic Evans you think you're so slick
When you make up limericks so quick
Now here is the rub
I compose in the pub
Now doesn't that make you feel sick

Welding suspension spheres

Not a question from me, but a curious one from Iain Tyrrell on his recent Youtube.

The issue is the suspension spheres (à la Citroen) on a classic Ferrari 412 where new ones can't be bought so Mercedes ones have had to be modified. Ideally the replacement spheres needed brackets welding on to them, but they're reluctant to do this so have attached brackets by mechanical means. Anyone ever welded a 'live' sphere.... and lived to tell the tale ? :-D
He covers it from the start point of this Youtube......
