Coated types are also available. So, just a Mexican dog.

These are the cars I have owned which I use the X as the first term when talking about them. I have had more with X in their name but not as the first utterance: :-D

Looks like there is some glitch in uploading attachments so here's a wordy account of my X-Spottings.

1. A DS21 E Registration but with Area identifier AKX which is of course originally Buckinghamshire.

2. An X-Suffix on a Triumph Dolomite Sprint VPD nnn X PD is originally a Surrey reg.

When I posted the last post it would only accept 4 full size pics, I had to reduce the last two down to around 25k each to get them up! :)

Various takes on Xanadu........

"In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round;
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery."

Kubla Khan
By Samuel Taylor Coleridge

"In Xanadu did Kublai Khan a pleasuredome erect"
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Welcome to the Pleasuredome

And you can all sing along to this one :-D

"A place where nobody dared to go
The love that we came to know
They call it Xanadu (it takes your breath and it'll leave you blind)
And now, open your eyes and see
What we have made is real
We are in Xanadu (you dream of it, we offer you)
A million lights are dancing and there you are, a shooting star
An everlasting world and you're here with me, eternally
Xanadu, Xanadu
(Now we are here) in Xanadu
Xanadu, Xanadu
(Now we are here) in Xanadu
Xanadu, your neon lights will shine for you, Xanadu"

That selection missed out my favourite!! :-D

You'll hear my voice
On the wind cross the sand
If you should return
To that black, barren land
that bears the name of Xanadu

Cursed without hope
Was the love that I sought
Lost from the start
Was the duel that was fought
to win a heart in Xanadu

Now no footsteps leave their traces
Only shadows move in places where we used to go
And the buildings open to the sky
All echo with the vultures cry as if to show
Our love was for a day
And doomed to pass away
In Xanadu
In Xanadu
In Xanadu

What was it to you that a man lay down his life for your love?
Were those clear eyes of yours ever filled with the pain & tears of grief?
Did you ever give yourself to any one man in this whole wide world?
Or did you love me and will you find your way back one day to Xanadu?

Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch ! :-D

I remember a small news story from that time that during one of the performances of that song a crack of the whip caught Dozy on the cheek and left a cut. There was a photo accompanying the story showing Dozy looking crestfallen and pointing to the cut.

Anyone else remember that?

Doesn't ring any bells with me Paul I'm afraid, I had a quick search on DDG but all I found were obituarys to Dozy, Trevor Ward-Davies, and Dave Dee. :?

Unsurprisingly, I don't have any photos of these :-D But I might have a photo or two of their counterparts in a couple of day's time 8-[

KXS nnn XS originally being a Paisley Identifier.

Dont think I have revealed the car yet, will do shortly on the the unlikely coincidences thread.
