E-Day dawns...on the Merry Month of May Quickfire A to Z of Anything/Everything.

Lotus liked their "E's"

This page ( https://www.type50.com/?Owning_a_%2B2___Modified_cars) has a number of odd-bod Lotus Elan +2 examples, stumbled on today including one originally described as a "Lotumph". For some reason someone had put a Triumph Straight 6 and a modified GT6 Bonnet on it. Later the Triumph Straight 6, was swopped for a V8. I picked out this pic which I recognised instantly as Morpeth Northumberland Carlisle Park with the Courthouse behind.

I do have a Falcon Original of that car...

Takes off with a reasonable parp after that initial smoke screen. Lotus Elan+2 first reg 1st September 1968, 4,600 cc's according to DVLA????, although 1,557ccs was the standard Lotus Twin Cam cc for the model.

Keep the "E's" flowing

My favourite petrol, if you can have such a thing, purely from a nostalgic point of view and the massive marketing influence of of the Tiger in the Tank, the Esso World Cup Coins, and the Esso Football Club Badges in my youth.
Emlyn Hughes and Jeff Astle
Esso World Cup Coins 1970
Still lying about in 2023!

and in other minor coincidences a nice period picture of Lochearnhead with Esso Station and P4 :-D

E is for Excellent and also for Exquisite, both of which can be said of nature's offering to the E segment, The Emperor Butterfly:

Click at something beginning with "E" in Chez Citrojim. No need to get out of the chair!...I didn't find two Esso 1970 World Cup coins and a tin of polish in the wonderful outdoors of the land of wide horizons today...it's a bit wet :-D

The Google thing seems to be very accurate or complete fiction.
