Agree, but it seems strange that may early turbo diesels didn't have an intercooler - early on they were very very low boost and efficiency/ more effective filling of the cylinders was the aim (e.g. VW Golf mk 2 early "umwelt" turbo diesels no intercooler and only modest step up in power from the non turbos. Later "GTD" did have an intercooler and quite a big step up Vs the non turbo)

I think the proud "intercooler" badging (of a different scale!) Was on the Volvo lorries too.

I suppose counter view, it's amazing how advanced the HDi engine was, yet the 90 bhp models made do without one!

Good Lord - that Bentley interior! Looks like someone heated up some Caramac bars with milk chocolate, stirred slightly and create that nightmare! That is foul!

The Oxford is very nice, except for someone claiming to be 'picky', he completely missed the fact that the rear over-riders were too close together, preventing the centre section from being dropped down, hitting the over-riders. Ooops! It could apparently be lifted out, but if the over-riders were moved slightly further apart, the drop down section would allow removal of the spare, and perhaps as they are - they may also foul the removal of the spare? And he thinks he's picky!
Lovely colour too.

Been having a catch up Derek :?: Took a while before I found the Bentley on the thread, part of James' Post here, and one which I hadn't seen before because James' edited his link.

Worth a look again for others who also missed it. Dark glasses on as a precaution....before clicking on the link here. Externally its a lovely yellow Bentley Val d'isere Estate. Interior as you pointed out is something else!

Yes, it did turn into a 'hide and seek'! Hadn't realised the original date on the post.
Voted the car I would most likely not want to get into. Looks like a padded cell. Walnut and brown leather please! ;-)

I wonder what the collective noun for Volvo Estates might be? 'A brick of...'

A rubbish pile of Volvos.

(Never liked them)

From a visual viewpoint I'd go for a train of Volvos :-D
