Wasn't thinking of the ESP Gyrometer / Accelerometer Jay, as that's in the front of the cabin gearbox binnacle.
I was thinking of this one:
Thought it might be an external housing to protect it - LDS Pressure Sensor:

It's quite a way underneath, and doesn't work if so! (Mind you I get "beep, beep" + complete lack of electric opening + large sigh + heave the damn thing open manually more often than I'd like. Will have to do Marc's battery monitor thing modification that defers Economy Mode Active a bit longer at some point. )GiveMeABreak wrote: 09 Apr 2023, 20:34 I did suspect somebody had mounted one of those aftermarket foot swipe sensors to open and raise the tailgate - but a coincidence if a few of you have it.

Thanks Marc,GiveMeABreak wrote: 09 Apr 2023, 21:39 On your specific X7 Matt, you have the following:
Items (1) the Spare Wheel Fixing Plate and (2) Spare Wheel Support Fixing Bolt
It's what I was referring to earlier about the pyramid maybe being some protection if the bolt extends through the floor.
... and as Bobins has posted that part up - the white area in the centre of the round wheel moulding would be where the parts above would be attached.
