I want to ask one more thing. I will order keys from China. My current key is with the old type 523 chip. I'm having a hard time finding 523 code as fsk on the site. I want to buy a new looking key to make a replacement key with a chip. If I buy the 536 coded chip and its outer container, will I have problems in coding? . What are the differences between 523 and 536?

…”The VIN won't tell you this sort of info, but I've provided the replacement fob part numbers for you.”

Marc, you wrote the above about type of modulation but then you told them exactly what the type is from the VIN numbers they supplied you with. Could you help with mine VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. Thanks

Hello,

I have read the posts above as I am looking for information about the remote control of our family car (Citroen Berlingo badged Peugeot Partner Tepee B9). What kind of modulation does our remote control use? The VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards

I would expect the above to be FSK based on my notes.

Hi. I have also read the previous messages. The central locking key was lost by the previous owner of my car so I am looking for the compatible key model and its frequency. Can you help me? I think I've found the compatible model: it should be 0536. As for the frequency I'm not sure... It could be FSK?
It is a Peugeot 308, registered in October 2010.
Vin: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
Thanks in advance!

Thank you. Do you think the correct chip can be 0536 as I have identified?

From what i have found the 0536/0523 bit doesn’t make any difference, they seem to be interchangeable. The remote frequency is the bit that matters for a fully working remote key.
0536 is not the chip type either, the chip type on this key is ID46.

Hello,

I think that 0523 and 0536 refer to the case of the key. 0536 is the case with the battery integrated into the case and 0523 is the case without battery (the battery is found on the circuit board of the remote control).

Best regards

Fred
