Bit older (59 plate) but similar mileage. Initially ruled out as "in Wales = too far" but actually an hour and twenty so not excessive at all.

Is XR spec, so no part leather of the Allure.
We both really like this lighter interior (though the current black mats clash somewhat!)
From advert

Pluses
110bhp, 6 speed, nice colour exterior (and interior) glass roof.
Half the price of the Bolton grey one (£1490 Vs £2995)

Negatives:
No towbar, 5 seats (but think points in the boot permit additional ones??)
Unconvincing "been told the belt has been done"
Is a Euro 4, Road tax £180 (Vs £150 of the later 112bhp, Euro 5 spec engine)

If you're thinking of adding in the extra row of seats yourself, be wary that some insurers may consider this a modified vehicle and require you to - in no particular order - stand on the naughty step, get the vehicle professionally inspected, empty your wallet in their general direction

Grrrrr

Good point you make about modified vehicles and insurance Robin, I almost go caught like that when I jokingly said to an insurance company the leather seats had been changed from black to cream ones... I only said it in jest when they asked if the vehicle had been modified... Silly sausages then wanted to bump up my already rather spicy quote. I went elsewhere and kept my mouth shut about the seats..

Insurance firms generally have no sense of humour... Except LV. You can enjoy a bit of banter with their call handlers...

It gets better!

Rather grumpy reply from me:
Spoiler: show
Disappointed that you were asked specifically what was included, told me in reply "all that is in the picture is included"

Please don't bother posting the item if you are now changing what you will send.

Given that you clearly had a complete strut (as per photos on your listing)

Can I ask again my original question - is the upper spring cup available? If no longer included with what I've bought.

If you are further dismantling the strut assembly to then just post me the spring, could you please include this component?
And then a few minutes ago:
Spoiler: show
Sorry I checked. Now I see that we have sent you a full part.

And a lot of bitten fingernails, clumps of hair all over the place and edges of seats badly worn... Hope springs eternal Matt ;)

Look Matt, your after a car/estate that has good mpg. C8 wins, hands up, drops the Mic, goodnight god bless...I win!! With what you do haulage wise why not have a 7 seater that you can turn into a van by removing the quick release seats? Economical and surprisingly so it shocks me at times. No need to worry about gunked up diesel filter as I run mine to 20miles left in the tank. Plus C8/807 are relatively cheap if you can find one. I'm sure Jim will agree how versatile Polly is....and what is quite surprising is how small a C8/807 is compared to new Chelsea tractors and electric vehicles

Oh yes, I'm with you all the way on this Ryan :-D I love my posh van for the very reasons you say and I mourn that fact the small MPV is so out of fashion these days...

One hopes for a renaissance very soon and all those horrid SUVs might disappear and fall out of fashion...

Thanks both, know what you mean that a more van-shaped something would give me more capacity. At present I tend to be weight rather than volume limited for most jobs.

Am hoping to get trailer capability re-established ASAP and that also then gets capability to transport 8'x4' (2440x1220mm) sheets with my bigger trailer.
Am I correct that an 8'x4' is still too big to fit within even a C8?

The house project has 9' (2700mm) ceilings, so I'll have plasterboard for the walls to get that's bigger than my trailer (2500 inside of the bed. Isn't set up to run with the tailgate down: lights and numberplate are all on the rear flap. Re-engineering trailer to allow this or get stuff delivered. Local merchant is free delivery over £100 so that's likely best option.)

Also, the trials and tribulations created by the terrible engine bay access described on this forum have certainly put me off the C8! If it stripped down like that Trabant front end it would be a more palatable option! :)

C5 in usual duties again yesterday. Not a full load but worth a trip trip (and was heading out for diesel anyway)
Buckets full and my tip run helper on board

Then more usual estate car duties: off to Manchester airport picking up my sister and her little six months old Natalie who have both come over for the next month.

Cruising along had the inevitable soporific effect
