Ha ha! Think we'll work it out between us eventually :rofl2:

Do you want another "boot full of more buckets of soil" picture or leave it to your imaginations? :P

Loaded up again just trying to work out when best to go (for minimum busyness!) was rammed 15 minutes after opening time this morning!

Thanks for the link, but since we've "got the brush warmed up", Sarah's chosen to make the steps purple too.

Blue 308 SW fill up:

514 miles, 134.7 PPL, £52.87. 39.25 litres = 8.6 gallons
Hence 59.5 mpg = happy with that, especially as quite a few short (tip) runs as a part of that!

:)

Oh, and "Electrical system fault, gave vehicle repaired" has made a reappearance this morning. Diagbox session tonight (assuming it gets me home! )

Obviously, as this particular trailer hasn't been used for a month or two, it's lights have reverted to their default state....

... A quick clean up and retightening it's mounting bolt (which is earth connection) has got tail light at this side to play ball. Indicator remains stubbornly reluctant). Other side well behaved.

Tomorrow, fresh enthusiasm should get it sorted and then on to builders' merchant for a quantity of sharp sand. (My dad is laying flags)

Oil change and sump swap (in hope of sorting oil weep and modified stuff mo to give full draining) was this afternoon's plan.

Oil on way out. Discover I've no oil filter (have got a fuel filter though) then obviously the heavens opened!
Passing shower, hopefully!

Break in the weather: sump off.

Quick drain of what's in the sump, this bottle is 250 ml so must be a good 200ml left behind at each oil change.

I'm hoping my new sump-sucker might do a better job of evacuating all the oil when I do my next oil change on m C3 Matt. The 'innie' sump plug design is a bit rubbish really - I'm guessing that for some reason they were aiming for a flat sump bottom. Maybe it allows the engine to 'sit' well on a pallet during manufacture?

Yes, interesting this could be better drained by the "short cut" suction method rather than the "proper" oil drain plug! Would be surprised if it's worse, put it that way!! :-D

Yes, think either to sit flat or perhaps to shield it from being ripped out in the case of "grounding out" ? Thin steel sump you are very close to disaster regardless id say!

Another trip to the tip in the Blue 308, guessing everyone has had more than enough "boot full" pics for the moment :)

Noticed the tensioner quite stiff, so removed to lubricate it.

Then noticed someone has been here before.
Spot the odd one out, even easier once removed!
Close enough!? Well, it is M8 so at least that's correct

Decided (having lubricated tensioner) to go for three matching M8 with 13mm heads (plus thin washers) and a spot of thread lock on each.

Strangely there's two tensioners on this belt, both sprung, one either side of the alternator. Guess something to do with the Start Stop (as think alternator may also restart the engine??) which would change where belt needed tension (after crank pulley or after alternator)
