Intrigued by the possibility of CD playing capabilities in the Blue 308 (which has a touch screen, FM, DAB, USB, Bluetooth capable setup)l - but no CD slot) in place of a strange silver strip on the lower dash which has the most "I look like a CD slot but I'm just a blank" appearance I've ever come across!
Spoiler: show
Currently looks like this. Compact what????
Currently looks like this. Compact what????
I've seen there is an "Upgrade kit"
https://www.magpieautos.com/store/Peuge ... p300925465
£250 but sold out.
From Magpie Autos website

On eBay, there are several sellers offering what I think is the required CD unit. Annoyingly, many, many more list the 308 radio which has NO CD slot, as being a CD player!?!?! Very annoying!
Kit of stuff. I don't think the upper facia is needed, or at least I'm not sure what is different from standard!

£86, but only the panel, no CD drive.
(only the silver stripe looks different, incorporating the slot and eject button. But, seemingly the whole panel must be swapped!)

Another example, £100, again only the panel.

CD drive:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315609667638
£50. Good confidence it actually is a CD player given the "Class 1 Lazer" warning on the sticker.

Contrasted with "CD player" that actually really isn't!

Or

All think they are a CD player but none of them are.

There is a black line on some images, this isn't a slot just a fold/swage line in the steel casing. Not that obvious on some of the photos but I'm sure blinking obviously with the unit in front of you!

Is this plan to create car originality or just so you can keep your CD's in the car to keep them away from little fingers? :-D

Ha ha, the CDs became homeless (formally in the dining room: where I have made built in speakers) a few years back when they were "noticed" :-D

I know I could "rip" them all to MP3 and stick on a USB pen. But it's finding the time! And I'll still want CDs when the Coupe is finally fixed again.

Last part of the service, top up of the adblue. Doesn't seem long since I did it, but still swallowed 2.5 litres. Wynns additive also in there too.

Don't think I spilt any last time, but polystyrene liner strangely was a bit stuck where the mucky line is - opposite side to the adblue filler point

Does anyone know what the different recesses are intended to hold?

The only one I know is the green bit is for the retractable boot cover to sit in.
(Which was all the more galling that said cover was missing when I got the car!! eBay to the rescue soon after)

I'm intrigued by AdBlue consumption Matt. Mine seems to use hardly any and in my ownership I've yet to need to top up the AdBlue tank...

This week, Diagbox told me I still had 4500Km to go before topping up was needed. I've done around 10,000 miles so far on what was in the tank when i bought the car...

Do you wait for the warning and then top-up or as and when it seems like a good plan?

Should we await the warning and only top-up then? Also, do you use any anti-crystallisation additive?

My company van uses AdBlue, and I will top it up when it displays the warning. I asked at Vauxhall about anti-crystallisation additives, and they told me that Vauxhall do NOT recommend them.
