Thank you :)

Good luck with the ABS fault finding. Give the sensor connector a quick look too as poor connection there could be a possibility.

You have a reservoir tank, not a pouch system, and require Powerflex additive.

Top up 1 litre minimum, official capacity is 1.4L, but shows actual is 2.0l.

Item (16) here: part number is: 1610115580.

As it's powerflex (same as the other 308) I've gone for the same stuff I used on the Grey one:

EDIT: actually, different stuff to the grey one, nevermind. States compatible (with my specific model) in the description, so hopefully all good.

Was glad to read it's not a silly, vulnerable, pouch but a proper tank!

A few trips into the office next week, don't think the stuff will arrive before then, so fingers crossed it does not throw a code before next weekend

Ah, good to know. Yes, I can't think a glorified blood transfusion bag being expected to last, say 10 years perhaps, is a good idea.

The new additive did not arrive today, eBay thinks tomorrow, Royal Mail just says "error, please check tracking page again tomorrow" - gee thanks!

I've eyeballed the tank, or rather the cover and the corner of the tank, in front of rear left wheel, not too bad to access. M6 nuts and threaded studs only looking medium corroded so a chance they'll come off ok.

In the office tomorrow and Wednesday, so have my fingers crossed it remains happy over the next 160 miles.

I remember changing the tank on my C5 and it was a pretty straightforward job. No fears there. Refilling with the kit was pretty simple too IIRC :-D

Yes, C5 undertray in this area is pretty awkward, after that access not bad.

Refilling wasn't too bad on that, or the grey 308, so am hopeful similar here.

Kit arrived today but later home and literally torrential rain coming down at the moment!!

First full tank refill on the blue 308,
468 miles,
£49.61, £1.407 per litre, 35.26 litres
7.756 gallons,

60.3 MPG = wow! Well chuffed with that!!

A couple of pictures before bed, DPF additive added to the Blue 308 this afternoon/evening.

Cover 3x M6 flange head nuts, then tank revealed.
Tank (formerly hidden behind cover)
Tank (formerly hidden behind cover)
Flexible hose disconnected and clear tubing of the refill kit plugged in to the end. Second short length of hose pushed onto tanks spigot and bottle onto this for any over spill.
The full 1 L of the bottle went in, no overspill, so seems the ecu's estimate of zero milliliters left is correct.

Software reset side of the job will be tomorrow's task.

Rear beam surprisingly rusty so wire brushed and phosphoric acid applied. Coat of paint then coat of Tetroseal to follow tomorrow.
Crustyness

A few spots mostly rusty spots in the inner arch also needing treatment.
Plastic wheel arch liner needs wrestling off one fixing to edge of bumper putting up a fight still.

Hardly surprising given it seems to be living in a bed of accumulated mud!

Another fixing put up a real fight but thankfully overcome eventually

Don't think I'll be using that again!

Fair play Matt getting there, the adblue is far cheaper than eolys. that's a grand little trailer you have. The lights look the part.

Umm, what you say is no doubt true, but you do realise that they are in no way interchangeable? A vehicle with Adblue (which helps to control NOx emissions) will also have a DPF (to trap particles in the exhaust gases), and the DPF will need EOLYS. Obviously these two additives have their own fill points/top-up methods.

I mention this because ignorant mechanics in Australia have been known to top up an EOLYS pouch or tank with Adblue  (as you say it's cheaper)!

I'm fully aware good to clarify though. I meant it's cheaper to run adblue than eolys. Definitely not implying interchangeable.

Don't worry folks, I've put only Adblue in the adblue tank and DPF additive in the additive tank! :)

Was quite surprised the local motor factors needed a much more comprehensive description before they'd believe I wasn't in need of adblue when asking about the DPF additive!

Just for clarity, the Blue 308 needs both Adblue and the DPF additive!

Edit, yes as said earlier:
