Oh gosh Matt, that hub nut

It's not as if new hub nuts are expensive or hard to get... That's just sheer bodgery

The only saving grace is that at least an attempt was made...

Not pretty is it!? :-D

Trying and failing to find new CV joints,
GSF, euro car parts, Halfords trade, J&R driveshafts (through eBay) = none listed.

I've emailed this seller to confirm suitability:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204040934395

AHH, they have just come back to me to confirm it isn't suitable and they can't get one from one of their suppliers either.

Which basically leaves this £76.53 option which looks rather different than any Peugeot drive shaft I've seen before:

Oh wait, it's just an illustration rather than anything of any use!

Message to them to check shortly.

The Parts In Motion offering is a NAPA parts piece so you could try a lookup on the NAPA site to see what they have to say.

This is the compatibility from the P.I.M. website:

Apologies for going off topic on your blog, Matt 8-[

A little bit of background info regarding NAPA.
Are you sitting comfortably ? Then I shall begin.

NAPA started in America about 100 years ago. They are owned by Genuine Parts Company https://www.genpt.com/
GENPT also own the Alliance Automotive Group.
The Alliance Automotive Group own a host of other garages and suppliers via, variously:
Groupauto https://groupauto.co.uk/our-group/member-directory/
United Aftermarket Network https://unitedaftermarket.net/our-netwo ... directory/
Alliance Automotive motor factors https://allianceautomotive.co.uk/our-network/
Apec Automotive (braking etc) https://apecautomotive.co.uk/
Tayna Batteries https://www.tayna.co.uk/
And quite a few others.

More info on The Alliance Automotive Group and their subsidiaries..... https://allianceautomotivegroup.eu/our- ... d-kingdom/

Edit..... What a surprise, Alliance Automotive Group acquired Parts In Motion earlier this year.
https://allianceautomotive.co.uk/news/a ... rslimited/

It's a small world, etc, etc.

And in further motor factor related news - Eurocarparts and GSF are owned by the same company, namely LKQ.

Had a quick look on the "parts Asia" site and think it's the full driveshaft from Peugeot, for extra eye watering -ness!

Will get the VIN when I'm back home (down in Bristol as of about 15 minutes ago. Vauxhall Crossland hire car = not my cup of tea!) on Thursday.

I've asked Parts in Motion if they can confirm suitability based off reg number.

Interestingly that Napa website only seems to list the 308 SW 2.0 has 180 rather than 150. Autodoc does the same based on reg number. But is also quite convinced it's an automatic.

I thought the autos were 163 BHP, so I'm not sure where the 180 comes from!

For your entertainment, here's another "analogue spreadsheet" - this one my thinking behind the wheel choice for 308,
Wheels: sizes, offsets and tyres: diameter differences and quick price/availablity trawl (from black circles)

Very few list a CV joint alone that is definitely manual gearbox fitment, e.g. Autodoc:

Thank you for digging, interesting that gives different results as seems to be another variant of the Autodoc company(s!!)

Wheel did race me home, I've heard it's landed today.

Although it is a french website, all parts come from Germany in Autodoc boxes. I've been using them for a good few years
