I think, and it's testing my memory, but should there be little S16 badges - on the doors near the side repeaters?

When you look at the spare, check the date code on the tyre too - mine is the original from 1999! Holds pressure ok but use of it not recommended!
I don’t think they did have the s16 badges on the doors, unlike some of the GTI-6’s, but I’ll stand to be corrected. The brochure I have doesn’t show them. It did have them on the fuel cap and dummy cap but I took the off as they just looked wrong .

Will check code on tyre !

Oh gosh yes, the cost of a decent 205GTi is somewhere north of eyewatering now... I wish I still had mine. One of only a very, very small number of cars I wish I'd never parted with... The others being an MG Metro Turbo and my very first AX I had back in the early 90s. Happily I managed to get a very similar AX last year. I'd like an AX GT but the cost of those is rather staggering now for a good one...

I have always liked white cars and have had enough of them over the years :) My Turbo Metro was white and my current Saxo is. As was was my last AX, now owned by Stickyfinger of this parish. I've also had a white Xantia. Another car, like the 306, that looks very good in white.

Maybe I like white cars as my very first, a 1964 Mini, was white with a black roof...

I agree about the 306 in white, but I also have owned two other cars which I thought looked good in white, the Lancia Delta HF Turbo and the Nissan 200 SX: :-D

Some great 80’s and 90’s cars there Jim ..

Try finding a good Metro Turbo now !! They make silly money. One of the best/most fun cars I drove years back was a Rover Metro GTI … that was brilliant.

I do own a white 1960 Mini although up until very recently it sported a cherry red roof, that I’d put on it as I didn’t like a fully white car !! But as you know Old English white is a dirty white unlike the very clean white that Bianca white is.

I love the Vauxhall Chevette in white. I chose it because I reckoned it would show the dirt off beautifully!
