On at least one of our cars (maybe both) I remember reading in the manual that hill start is turned off by turning off the "auto parking brake when engine switched off" option. Have a read of your manual to see if that's available. Personally I find hill start helpful, though.

That feature was also removed in a BSI update IIRC so may non longer be there. It was certainly removed from mine when my BSI software was updated.

There is a solid seller in the UK for decent VCI and forum members get a discount.

Greetings Wolfgang
Thanks for the advice, but the Lexia is from a friend (not my own yet) and he has an XM , so this version for him , works ok. It also works great on my older C5's (2003 2.2 hdi and 2004 2.2 Hdi)
Just in the work car (2010 2.0 Hdi 163) it can only access suspension and steering modules.

That seller from the UK could be an option , but as i am in Portugal , it can become quite expensive, so i'm looking for other alternatives.

Seatbelt beeps can't be turned off either.

This is a sure way to make your vehicle inoperative and light up like a Christmas Tree. I've dealt with plenty of such cases where people thought this was a good idea and nearly bricked their vehicles.

I strongly suggest you take a read of this small post I put together before you go 'experimenting' as people aren't going to be willing to offer support to fix such issues afterwards:

Well , those small options should be an option to remove... My 2003 2.0 hdi had seatbelt bleep removed , and i personally did also that on the 2.2 (Easy task with diagbox) . No problems so far. IMHO , i can be responsible enough to decide when i want to use the seatbelt , and accept the consequences if i decide not to. It should not be up to the car to decide to make a lot of noise to force me to use the f seatbelt. I own the car , not the opposite :D

Regarding to hill assist , it'a a hassle to me , as i can be quickier just using the clutch , and once or twice , that system put me to danger , as i wanted to quickly move the car , and couldn't. It should be an option to disable too.

Probably it was simpler to disable stuff on the older ones.

Tire Monitoring was also disabled without any issue on both. (more bleeping as some batteries were dead)

Each day i prefer more the older machines on sooo many ways

How to check the BSI version?

By the way , wanted to , but forgot to thank you (before sending reply) about that post with the head's up about the Lexia dangers. Really useful , as nobody wants to have problems with ECU's :)

Did you actually read your manual to see if the option exists?

Diagbox / Lexia will tell you the software version of the ECU when selecting the ECU and checking details.

I'm actually one of the few persons i know , who reads cars manuals for no particular reason. :-D Will have another look at it, as i do not remember to see the possibility to deactivate hill assist. (At least in an easy way)
I'll look for the auto handbrake, It's useful , but i'd trade that feature for the disabling of hill assist.

Look for disabling auto parking brake.

Just for a follow up on this question (as it may be useful to others) , in my 2011 2.0 Hdi it states in the manual that hill assist cannot be disabled.
As I Got myself a newer Lexia and was able to connect to my personal car. From the top of my memory , on the "client options" (or something like that) i was able to disable driver seat belt warning (It seems to be there as an option if the client wants it or not - possibly for taxi drivers) and in some other place i was able to make the menu where you check or not auto parking brake. Without auto parking brake on , hill assist continues working , so it seems that there is no way to stop it. Already did over 150 k km with that feature and i'm getting used to it , working with it, even not liking it
