I see you are from Bulgaria, There is a Company in Netherlands called KMS Apeldoorn, www.https://kms-apeldoorn.nl
They repair NG4 Navs last years price was 312 + vat Euro, fixed fee for any repair. I was going to use them but now that we are out of the EU the exporting and then importing got very complicated indeed and looked very expensive, so we gave up.
I was lucky with mine it was a simple fix in the end but there is a massive lack of knowledge out there about them, and some even pretended they could fix them until they were presented with it, then could not, so wasted quite a lot of time which annoys me, if you can't fix it just say.
Also a Company called B-Parts in Portugal, they are a used car parts specialist who sometime stock NG4 systems, you just have to get the chassis number changed on the NG4 for it to work in your vehicle, this was going to be my next option as it was a simple import fee of £85 for us.
You might even get an RCZ one that will work in your Citroen apart from you will have to find someone to change the start up logo, I was toying with that myself at one stage (Citroen to Peugeot) and just changing the front panel as my 308 is black and the Citroen ones coming up were silver, but I wasn't 100% confident it would work, but having said that I fitted a DVD drive from a BMW Harmen Becker single DIN onto my NG4 Double DIN and it worked flawlessly only difference being the last letter of the part number, cost me £25 to find out so a little bit different to the £100's an NG4 would cost to try, but I suppose you could sell it on.
Just a few more ideas for you to chew over.

Thanks a lot!
The best option for now is to find an used unit and I think I am close to doing so. Prices are between 150 and 300 euro. Sending it abroad is just unreasonable. Funny thing is I found a big autoparts store which offered me a new one for about 3800 euros. The whole car costs about 5k.
Still considering aftermarket one but I heard it won't work right. Especially parking sensors.

The RCZ ones will NOT work on a Citroen. They have a different fascia with different controls on, not compatible with Citroen vehicles.

Oh that was a bit luck then I almost bought a Citroen one, the complete facia comes off them with a ribbon cable so I though if I can't get a 308 which is ni on impossible, RCZ are fairly scarce in the UK, but for some reason there seems to be, well at that time loads of Citroen ones and pretty cheap as well, behind the facia they looked similar so I thought give it a go, in my mind I could see no difference in the actually unit, the assumption came from VW CV Kenwood's that have different facias dependant on van with different part numbers, yet behind the actually unit is the same they just pop on a different front dependant on model at factory level we swapped fronts on the workshop floor just to get a van out, I assumed Harman Becker would do the same one unit fits all just change the facia, after all their DVD player fitted perfectly from a single DIN BMW Harmen Becker nav into a Peugeot 308cc NG4, side by side you would never pick the two DVD's out.

To me they look identical you see.
Citroen C5 NG4
Citroen C5 NG4
308cc NG4
308cc NG4
Only difference to me is the top part of the facia with the locking and hazard buttons etc, those buttons click out on a strip with there own loom over the top of the rear unit, the strip though will transferred over with your facia onto the the new NG4. I thought I might have to find some spotty kid with a laptop to recode and to change the Citroen to Peugeot but as I found out with my old unit that is easier said than done.

So all in all Marc cheers, that was a lucky escape and you may of saved me a few pounds in the future, the Company in the Netherlands seem to have good feed back so I am guessing they might well pan out to be a better, less hassle venture should the NG4 start playing up again even with the import tax, which I was told on self owned electrical repairs there is no import tax and they sent me a comprehensive information pack of which not a word of it was really understood, it may as well of been written in Klingon.

Yes, no worries, the NG4 for the RCZ is a different unit as it has that combo fascia with integrated controls, that the other Citroen ones don't, so best to be sure and stick with the correct one for the vehicle.

Ah, you mean the phone Peugeot, parking sensor and SOS buttons that the Citroen does not have on its NG4.
I see what you mean I think.

Yes, SOS and Service call are in the roof console on some models and on the C5 X7 for example are on the central console with other buttons in separate banks.

I thought that is what you meant, the point I was making the unit behind the plastic front facia is the same, the buttons on the Pug NG4 at the top ARE part of the facia but are fed by a lead over the top of the unit not from the unit, so what I was trying to say for Citroen for example you buy the RCZ NG4, when it arrives you remove the front facia panel from it, ending up with a metal box full of electronics easily don't by the small torx screws and a quick flip of the ribbon cable connector, you then do the same on your own in car Citroen NG4 replace the RCZ facia with the Citroën Facia, both units mounting point are in the same place so old RCZ (minus it's original facia panel) will just push back in to the usual mounting points. The facia panels are there just to effect specific vehicle fitments, the unit behind is a stock unit, granted you may well have to do some specific coding to align it with you vehicle but unit for unit they are identical behind that front panel, notice from the DVD player slot down the panels are the same in every way, I reckon you could even get a 3005 NG4 which is square like the Citroen to fit a 308/RCZ simply by changing the front panel.
That's what I was trying to say those top line of buttons are not integrated with the radio only the front plastic panel they are a separate bank of switches not fed by the internal electrics of the NG4.

Yes the units are the same internally but have different fitments and are coloured accordingly to the trim level. Wiring loom is different though.

Is the wiring different RCZ to 308? we are working fine at present so not an issue, but you can pick RCZ NG4's in abundance 308 NG4 are like rocking horse .... well you know, I guess hardly anybody in a 308 wanted the upgrade.
Autotronics were a flat no for repair, they have no supplier for the parts, but the dials worked out really well with them, other than that it is the place in the Netherlands @ 300 and something + tax euros and import duty, at the time when it was playing up you could get RCZ NG's for as little as £300 working, so if the BMW DVD player did sort it out that was my next port of call the RCZ, but I have to say the Citroen ones did interest me once I realized the front comes off, as they were coming in @ £250 for a really clean looking one.
Surly H/B wouldn't of changed the plug config on them as they are all PSA now PSA and BMW on NG4 (BMW don't do NG4) yes I would get that different manufacturer, I would of thought they would of stayed the same for both Citroen and Peugeot as they are both PSA, I mean who in their right mind would think of swapping front panels. It is like us majority of parts will cross for Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda and even some vans, why go to the expense of changing the production line when it is all the same manufacturer umbrella just change the colour of the facia.

You never know if it plays/gives up again and I can get a cheap on Citroen one I might just buy it and prove you right it doesn't work 😡 fuming!

Interesting conversation Marc, Thank you.

Yes totally different.

Put it this way, on the RCZ central harness alone, for example, there are 18 variations (separate part numbers) for this one harness.

All pinned differently into the back of the NG4, so they must have made separate NG4's for each sperate car config, flippin heck, So the RCZ is a non fit as well then, lets hope it behaves then other wise it will be off on holibobs to the Netherlands
OR
I could go on holibobs myself and stuff it in my trolly dolly, and go in MeAgain to the airport.

Thanks for that, in that case I will not waste my money to prove you right if you don't mind! 😄

Hello again! Has anybody ever changed a whole unit with another? I did today and after inputting the VIN it started alright but wih a few problems.
The most obvious was that the volume dial did not seem to change the volume. It was loud even on 1 and remained the same no matter how I turned the knob. Only at 0 it just stops.
The second one was the parking sensors. The screen showed some bars but no beeping sounds.
Also the screen showed way too high outside temperature while the dashboard behind the steering wheel said "Risk of ice".
The guy that was selling the unit tried to find a way to fix it with his laptop. Didn't see the software but I guess he used Lexia. Anyway no result.
Any ideas would be helpful.

You may have VIN-coded the unit to the vehicle, but if it was from another vehicle it may be incorrectly configured for your vehicle.
