Wrong map color after SMEG Nav Update

Hi there,

I lost the maps after reinstalling a SMEG, not sure why, so I reinstalled the maps from a USB key.
Installation went ok, I just installed one map because its slow. The map is installed and working
but the colors are all weird and the car icon is missing (blank square instead).
Is it required to install all the maps ?
I've already tried rebooting the SMEG. Strange colors still presents.

Are the maps genuine?
I suggest you reset the unit to factory defaults and see if that sorts the issues out, but you'll have to restore your settings as you probably already know.

Before that though, try doing a BSI reset as the units remain powered on and if there is a fault it may not be clearing. Follow this guide and make sure you wait at least 15 minutes before connecting the battery back up.

Yes map genuine. So i tried factory reset, nothing. I tried installing another map nothing.
But I solved the problem by ... reinstalling the firmware, which I just freshly installed already before installing the maps.

I'm appalled at how unstable and finicky automotive software is.
