Re: Meeting arrangements
I am tentative on this one at the moment. You may have spotted the C3 Picasso has expired in a spectacular way, and I need to sort out a vehicle for management to drive upon their return from Colombia on Thursday night. I have to work tonight until 3am, so lets see what happens. I also have to be in St.Albans tomorrow pm, so it's all a bit bizarre at the moment.

Can I suggest a lunch get together 23rd-25th May? Who can do when?

Re: Meeting arrangements
I am in the UK at present, mostly around Cambridge. A reasonable day trip should be possible.

Re: Meeting arrangements
OK having left the suggestion up over the weekend it looks like there are three of us. So can I suggest firming up on the date and time - 24th May at 12.30 - and I suggest two possible venues roughly in the middle of the three of us - The Rusty Gun in Hitchin or The Raven in Hexton. Name your choices!!

Re: Meeting arrangements
Further to my last post I have just been doing some triangulation:
and have therefore identified that my first two suggestions are both a little too far south. So looking at the actual centre it appears Stotfold/Letchworth is a better bet and I have discovered this Hungry Horse pub in the area:
https://www.hungryhorse.co.uk/pubs/hert ... -chimneys/
So I propose we meet there at 12.30 on the 24th and have a decent lunch according to the Trip Advisor reviews!!

Re: Meeting arrangements
Well I had an entertaining morning!! I tried to book our table online but with no luck, it kept crashing on me, so given that I hate using the phone I decided to take a ride out for a reconnaisance and book it in person. A lovely day to take the MX3 which meant no satnav and hence taking the maps with me!! I had not found directions as such on the website and I did have a bit of a run around until I found this:
I went in and tested the Guinness and it was good so I booked the table. It is not like the usual country style pub we have been using, more like a traditional in town pub but plenty of space and if we get the table I asked for, number 40, it will be fine. Just to aid finding the location I can confirm it is as on this map which includes the A1(M) services at Baldock for reference!! See you there!
