Re: Meeting arrangements
Right I'm back so time to sort this lunch plan. How about Thursday 15th at the King Charles III Chesham Road where we have met before? Post up if you are coming by Saturday and I'll book for 12.30

Re: Meeting arrangements
I won't be able to make it, as I am helping Mum move her narrowboat that week, and over on the Isle of Wight the following week. However, enjoy yourselves, everybody.

Re: Meeting arrangements
That's a shame James Never realised the Isle of Wight had navigable canals...
Do enjoy those two weeks and here's hoping you can make the next; it's been far too long since we've seen you

Re: Meeting arrangements
Jim I'd be concerned about whether a narrow boat would be seaworthy enough to survive the voyage out to the IoW - can't imagine they'd be very happy in a cross-wind!

Re: Meeting arrangements
It would be an adventure for sure! I'm aware there was once some narrowboat races out in the North Sea off The Wash in East Anglia... A sub-competition was to see who was most seasick

Re: Meeting arrangements
Narrow boats do not handle well in a cross wind, in fact they're not too good in a happy wind either!!!
