How about this at the builders merchant....right next to me in process of sawing up 4.6 metre roofing battens in half to fit into the car in the parking area, this pulled in just to turn around, and head over to Tool Station opposite, an odd manouevre in itself. Then you add the rarity factor only 500 of these vehicles were ever made...in the whole wide world. The odds against seeing one in Vibrant Orange (pearl) are even greater because the MG TE LE 500 was available in...this range of colours too Intense Blue (metallic), Crystal White (pearl), Graphite Grey (mica-tallic), Raven Black, Scorched Red in addition to Vibrant Orange (pearl). Most early publicity images of the TF LE500 used cars in the orange colour.

It was indeed a head turner, as well as a satisfying small success for the Orange door priming. Yes it did have orange doors too!

Another co-incidence, orange doors at Mathewsons and young Mathewson reveals that only 78 were made in the "Flagship Orange" Yes what are the chances of Mathewsons selling a MG TF LE 500 in "Vibrant Orange" at their very next sale, following "orange door priming", and a Northumberland Builders Merchant on the road spot of a Vibrant Orange MG TF LE 500 by yours truly.

Ive been keeping my eyes open for an orange front door and have seen every colour but orange! I even spotted these 2 unusual colours.

Nice work Ryan, looks like my supposition that the Orange painted front door is indeed the United Kingdom's rarest is proving to be true!

I missed a trick when I ordered my new front door... I should have specified an orange one... Can't change now as it's being fitted next week.

Could always paint it in hippy colours/pattern, now that would be rare

So why does this appear today on tonight's weather forecast during "News at 10", and on familiarity phenomenon and other unlikely co-incidences.

This very day on the FCF, this little boutique hotel from the same place got a mention on the "What do you know about Norfolk :?: " thread. viewtopic.php?p=768484#p768484

Prior to today how many times has "Downham Market" in Norfolk ever been referred to in an FCF post....answer never :-D

German number plates start with 2 letters which denote the town / area that the vehicle is registered in. My Aunt lives in Hildesheim, a small City in N Germany, where HI is the number plate reference. Out on my bike the other day I was overtaken by a German car with HWI - that's pretty close to HI for Hildesheim thinks I. Then blow me, about 10 mins later just in the town here if I didn't actually see an HI plated van! A pretty remote coincidence :-D

Amazing coincidence for me today. I set out from Hertford at 06.30 and the first vehicle I came across as I headed for Somerset was this one:

What is the coincidence about that I hear you shout? Well my journey today was to visit Alasdair in Somerset and I'm hopeful that he will see this and explain the coincidence in his own words!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

As a little clue, one of Alasdair's professional products, two actually, will be installed in my lounge as part of my house project...
