I was once asked what my favourite pub in Leven was and I said The Dreel in Ainster. That pretty much sums up bars in and around Leven, in my opinion.

Disappointing they've not got a swinging sign with their pub's name on itNewcastleFalcon wrote: 30 Dec 2022, 15:28 The publicity stunt!

Comfortable open plan lounge bar on two levels. A revival of the longest pub name in the country for Stalybridge (the original pub with this name was on Astley Street, and this pub was previously named the Stalybridge Tavern). The pub with the longest name is now a few doors away from the pub with the shortest name - the 'Q'. Live music features at weekends.

Saw this earlier, a pub but I forgot to change the title and can't remember where it is.
Google says The Blackfriar, Billingsgate Market/Spitalfields.

Re: Pub Gallery and the odd hotel!
I came across a pub with an unusual name on the way home from Benenden this morning. The pub name is more familiar to most of us as a parliamentary procedure I'm sure!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Today, if you click on Browser on Geograph without any selections, Geograph throws up a page of images.
First one up was the very interesting Pub with the very interesting shape called "The Crown" as per the picture.
The very definition of Pub of the Day and a worthy selection already.
Now lets see what the accompanying text for the image was.
Now that ticks my own interesting box and an added bonus to the Selection of the Crown. You cant beat a bit of an odd pointless but interesting quest, and congratulations to our N Chadwick for dreaming it up.The Crown by N Chadwick For TQ1875, taken 2023-02-18
A few years ago I read a book by Mark Mason "Walking the lines" in which he walked the route of the London Underground lines, overground. I will repeat this visiting all 272 stations (some more than once). My route tries to follow the line of the railway as closely as possible, using footpaths and roads, deviations are made to make the walk more "interesting".
See other images of Walking the lines
Yes and the "See other images of "Walking the lines" link on the geograph page reveals this
If this was the old days and he had to go to the chemist to get the film developed it would have cost him a fortune1,434 Images in the quest.
