I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Looks like its got a nice curved front on a corner site on that picture Mick, nice windows too.
In reality its a bit flatter at the front

On the Drainage dykes, drains, ditches, lanes, rheens, rhines or rhynes theme from Jim's pic on POTD this morning.
Reach in Cambridgeshire and the Dyke's End now a community run pub serving Woodforde's Wherry if CAMRA is correct. Nice touch Woodforde's do a home brew kit where you can brew your own at home!
Regards Neil

Re: Pub Gallery and the odd hotel!
Off on a bit of a tangent - what are the most common pub names ?
Queen Vic ?
xxx horseshoes ?
xxx bells ?
Any contenders ?

seems that where you stay has a big influence on pub names

Re: Pub Gallery and the odd hotel!
I can find some Five Horseshoe pubs, and there's several Twelve Bells pubs, but what's the highest number featured in a pub name ?
I'm just hoping there's not a pub named 'The Infinity' as going on past form, we'll never be able to determine its actual value

There is an Infinity Pub in Brighton but you might prefer this one in Doha

Re: Pub Gallery and the odd hotel!
Why have I heard of that , "the old thirteenth... etc" I have a suspicion it may have appeared on the pages of this very forum
Thread favourite which I dont think misses many has this everchanging list from its database, as pubs close and new ones open. Looks like the occupations of the past aren't being replaced by our current "job's". No examples yet in the uk of a hostelries called "The Youtuber", or "The Software Engineer" or "The Frackers Arms"
Here's the Pubsgalore's list in at 93 The Falcon

another example of the lovely sign artwork of prolific Peter J. Oldreive

Re: Pub Gallery and the odd hotel!
I followed your PubsGalore list and found it incomplete.
I would like to add the Den Inn and the Agenda to this list

Re: Pub Gallery and the odd hotel!
I suppose technically they should be Scoonie but that shows no entries at all.
The Den Inn used to be good when we first moved down here but it has slithered to the very bottom of the dregs now ( and that is saying something in Levenmouth). The other establishment is the Agenda and can be relied on for excellent meals.

That would depend if they were heading there or leaving.

2021 viewhttps://whatpub.com/pubs/HIP/690/old-th ... talybridgeAbout the Pub
Comfortable open plan lounge bar on two levels. A revival of the longest pub name in the country for Stalybridge (the original pub with this name was on Astley Street, and this pub was previously named the Stalybridge Tavern). The pub with the longest name is now a few doors away from the pub with the shortest name - the 'Q'. Live music features at weekends.
