Thanks all :D All duly noted... Been a bit busy with other matters to give it any attention today ;)

I only know it from driving past on my way to the Two Chimneys for our lunch so no idea what is special? :)

It is a local of mine, but it's quite a famous pub, tourists have been known to visit it.

I have been digging, appropriate for a pub that used to be called The Gardeners Arms and is now The Wilbury. I see it was renamed The World's End and used for a film, hence the fame? :)

Spot on Mick, The World's End was filmed in Letchworth and Welwyn.

They turned the local cinema into a pub as well

Can't quite make the name out of the Pub here, but it's from Internet Movie Car Database of the "World's End" film. I'm sure the Hertfordshire contingent can enlighten us :-D

That would be the The First Post Pub in Welwyn known as the Pear Tree Inn or at least it was. The sign post and the royal mail box are the clue on the pub signage

Wasn't there a mash up of pop singers who called themselves the Willburys?

From Wiki: The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. :-D
