I need to keep 16th September free as I am supposed to be competing to retain a local prestigious team trophy for cycling with my cycling club if I can get any semblance of fitness back.

I’ll compete in any case as it is the fastest team of 5 and if one punctures, a win can hang in the balance.

I wouldn't waste your precious time, Jim!

This season is largely a write-off. Did two TT's last week and then herniated disc because of tight muscles. Tried to hit it too hard and the times were the worst ever although I did do them both on the Dawes. You've not doubt seen Strava.

I'll be timekeeping at our Monday evening TT this week. It's on the same day as the MK Marathon... I don't think I'll be able to do a TT full justice after running a marathon!

The Redbourne Classic Car Show was absolutely magical Really friendly with a lovely atmosphere. The weather was good too

A bit of everything from old Brits, Yankee muscle cars, tractors, motor bikes and mopeds... Superb

Bluebell was the only AX there and she got a lot of attention... Mick's MX3 was the only one too... Again, lots of attention...

Choosing my favourite is not easy but this is the little car I'd choose to take home... Always wanted one...

Nice Gallery Jim. On a quick run through the first one I stopped at was the Austin 3-litre, then the Wedge shape Princess, then your bluebell rival with the Vauxhall HA130 Van in Blue, and then I pondered a while on the ALTA sprawled across the top and side of an engine, which appeared to be in a Morris Minor...Yes perfectly logical as it turns out from a small bit of wiki reading and the MMOC forum.

I did notice a few Orange doors! and was looking for a close up makers name of "JAMES" perhaps on one of the motor bikes. Noticed a McCormick tractor a much more modern and larger version providing part of my "given name" collection of makers names.

I was very reserved with my camera as I didn't see the point of duplicating Jim's pictures today, but one car which attracted my attention being the only other Mazda at the show was this 323 owned by a very excited girl who has not passed her test yet but bought it as her first car!!

Oh the 323 didn't they have steering parts that used to bend ? Or snap , i recall a lady who live along the road from me having one when i was a kid the column snapped, looked like some nice old cars there i went to a steam rally last week didnt take any snaps as the camera decided to not want to do anything so thats now been trashed but heres something from a previous show.

Well what a day. I've looked through Jim's photos and reckon there's about 100 missing.There was so much to see and that's not including the classics that were in the car park as they couldn't get in!! The orange princess was in excellent condition but then it should be as only 23k on the clock! And made even better by having the AA badges on the grill.

My family have made there decisions on the categories of ' Most Ugliest' 'Most Fun' and 'Best Overall you'd 'Borrow' if the keys were in it. (These following photos are from Jim's photos of the show)

This was most fun as the contour of the doors made it like a crazy hall of mirrors, from the waist down you looked really wide, waist up really skinny, funny when your son is doing body builder poses.

this was picked as it's an honest car, a drivers car, not all perfect panels, bit of rust showing an everyday car.
