X1 XM Clarion PU-9358A Red Connector

Post by CitroJim »

Just started on attempting to restore a pair of unknown condition S1 XM Clarion PU-9358A wirelesses to working condition...

Once I'm properly up and running I'll kick off a topic detailing my work if there's any interest...

I've searched but can find no details of the big red connector. I know speakers and power pass via this connector but cannot find details of the pinouts...

Can anyone help please?

Many thanks indeed, much appreciated :D

I thought I had a link to the early XM radio wiring, but it turned out to be for the later head unit.

I presume you have already found the internal schematic, I think I have a copy if you need it.

Yes, got the schematic Mike :) And your post on Club-XM has answered my question. After doing a few initial checks I'm almost certain this is right - thanks hugely :-D I can now properly get cracking!

The diagram above is almost right, the only bit wrong is the Ignition and Battery wires are transposed as far as I can tell..

I've done a bit of useful work on these wirelesses now and will shortly open a new thread to describe the XM-like frustrating and bizarre battle they're subjecting me to...

They are a bit of a fun brain-teaser...

If ever there was a wireless that matches an XM perfectly it's this one
