Re: RT6 Wiring
Do we have any information on the Philips amp used in the HiFi system? Even if just the model number?

Re: RT6 Wiring
Not apart from what is written on the unit itself. Your HiFi amp is PSA part number: 6574Z6

Re: RT6 Wiring
How is the overhead console in a C5 removed? I would like to run wiring for an aftermarket mic to where factory mic resides.

Re: RT6 Wiring
You first need to unclip the light unit from the front side (nearest the windscreen) first using trim tools to compress the metal blades holding the light unit in.
Unclip the light unit connectors.
This will reveal 2 bolts inside the recess which you need to undo.
Then the outer pieces of the console (where the ultrasonic alarm sensors are located, but further round towards the outer edges of these) need to be unclipped carefully, which when done will allow the whole console trim section to be slid forward towards the rear view mirror.
Bear in mind you will have a multiple wiring connections to be removed so be careful about suspending the unit hanging from the wiring.
I suggest you disconnect the battery first using the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure.
