Yes, I've sussed it. They are talking about the grand prix won by a lotus car including private entrants. There were 5 privately entered wins which takes the 47 down to 42 on my list of Team Lotus wins!! Misinterpreted the question!! :-D

Just read that Silvia Bellot, one of the Stewards at the Austin F1 GP, has been receiving death threats. It is unbelievable how low the tenor of abuse has become in F1 and, indeed, in other areas of our lives. Please, please remember that no matter how fervent your ideology in F1 is, or whatever, that threats like this should be called out for what they are - the malevolent (or even criminal) rantings of very disturbed people taking cheap shots at people just because they can and we turn our backs or shrug our shoulders. These people have no place in our worldwide society to do as they please without real consequences.

I don't even think they're very disturbed, I just think they're obnoxious arseholes. I'd wager 99.9999% of them wouldn't say boo to a goose.

I had one shout abuse at me yesterday on the motorbike. I had done nothing wrong. I'm sure Mick will recall such abuse when he rode. I stopped, put the stand down, got off, walked over to him and shouted "SORRY MATE, DIDN'T HEAR YOU. GOT EARPLUGS IN, CAN YOU SAY IT AGAIN PLEASE?" He didn't, of course. Mumbled something and drove off.

I generally question the sanity of someone who's shouting abuse at a 6ft big bloke who's wearing a helmet, Kevlar clothing and body armour. It's not going to end well unless they surprise me!

I see Helmut Marko is reported to have said Sergio Perez didn't pull his weight in 2022.
What price Ricciardo in a full time seat in 2023?

Fred Vasseur quickly turned down the Ferrari manager job and Christian Horner has denied any involvement. Andreas Seidl hasn't though. Ferrari might struggle to employ anyone outside their own personnel on this one.

Ferrari need to get a South African, two Brits, a Frenchman and a German together to run the joint, much like they did last time they had any championship success...

so, Whinger Spice basically confirms he's off to Ferrari then?

<Thinks> Now Mateschitz has passed away, do Horner and the top brass at RBR have any loyalty to anyone else there? Money talks, and Ferrari have lots.

God help Ferrari.
Ferrari do have good people working for them but just not in unison. They are historically like herding cats when it comes to getting them to all pull in harmony.

The rumour mill is still touting Vasseur though. So much for a clear announcement from Ferrari.

Calvin Lo is seriously thinking about starting his own F1 team for 2026.
"who is Calvin Lo?"
Well he is a billionaire for a start.
He has also assessed that the current F1 demographics are more suited to his business model!

I hate to think where F1 is headed in the future.
