Re: Citroen and Peugeot Official Parts Requests
The crankshaft sensor detets the position of the crankshaft and the TDC (Top Dead Centre) of the piston, and lets the engine ECU know, so that it can determine injection and also the RPM. It's also referred to as the engine Speed Sensor.
The Camshaft sensor determines the position of the Camshaft when running and is similar.

(15) Camshaft Position Sensor Part: 1920QN, £50.33

Missing EGR mounting bolt
Replaced the EGR today but when I removed the old one there was only one bolt holding it in place (which was also loose). What type is it - does it have to be a PSA specific one or will any aftermarket 6cm bolt do the job?

Mick, that VIN is incorrect (18, when it should be 17) and also, can you confirm you want the pulley for the accessory belt?mickthemaverick wrote: ↑15 Mar 2022, 13:54Hi Marc,

Re: Citroen and Peugeot Official Parts Requests
Sorry Marc, I copied the vin from the screen in bright sun straight onto the phone and possibly had big finger slip! I got the model wrong, it is a 206 not a 406 - post covid brain fade -. Hopefully that explains the VIN issue? Yes it is the crankshaft rubber mounted pulley at the bottom of the accessory belt run. Re: Citroen and Peugeot Official Parts Requests
That's not helping Mick - the VIN you edited in the previous page is still incorrect. Also, please note that you can't quote an obfuscated VIN in a new post as the VIN has already been converted to asterisks, so I can't read it. Please always retype the VIN in full. Once I have this I will save it for future requests for you.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑16 Mar 2022, 03:01Sorry Marc, I copied the vin from the screen in bright sun straight onto the phone and possibly had big finger slip!
