Peugeot 406 HDI
Vin VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Could I have the part no for the harmonic balancing pully please
Cheers
Mick, that VIN is incorrect (18, when it should be 17) and also, can you confirm you want the pulley for the accessory belt?

Sorry Marc, I copied the vin from the screen in bright sun straight onto the phone and possibly had big finger slip! I got the model wrong, it is a 206 not a 406 - post covid brain fade -. Hopefully that explains the VIN issue? Yes it is the crankshaft rubber mounted pulley at the bottom of the accessory belt run. Thanks
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

That's not helping Mick - the VIN you edited in the previous page is still incorrect. Also, please note that you can't quote an obfuscated VIN in a new post as the VIN has already been converted to asterisks, so I can't read it. Please always retype the VIN in full. Once I have this I will save it for future requests for you.

Still a no go, if I use the last 8 digits it comes up as a 206 3 DOOR SALOON 1.1 i (TU1JP) Manual gearbox 5. The beginning of the VIN is totally different, V_F_3_2_C_H_F_X_F

If this is the one let me know.

The Left and Right Driveshafts are different lengths. I've provided part numbers for both for future reference.

Thanks for your time on this, there is clearly a problem with the car's ID, so I have told the owner to source the new pulley from their dealer and then I'll go and refit it if necessary!! Thanks again :)
