Ball joint won't come with the arm in this case as its screwed into the bottom of the hub. You need a very deep 41mm socket to get them out - and they can be very tight, usually easier to get the hub off and in the vice, although a decent impact gun will get them out most times. In theory you are supposed to remove the drive shaft to get access to the arm bolts (which are in from the top) - in practice I expect there is enough room to wiggle them out past the shaft once the hub is free - but I would be tempted to back off the hub nut at the start, that way if you have to remove the shaft from the hub you are not fighting the nut with it all floating about!

Thanks Richard, I'll bear those thoughts in mind, I'll have to see if I can find a 41mm socket as my current largest is 36mm. I'm gently going off the idea of this job to be honest!
