I think you are referring to the Condenser. The drier is incorporated into the condenser on the right side.

Hi Marc.

Trust you’re well.

Please could I have size for the auxiliary belt for X435 JGJ? I am seeing two different sizes when doing a general internet search.

My car has air conditioning.

Also, is there only one belt tensioner for the auxiliary belt or are there other serviceable wheels other than than crankshaft pulley?

Could I have those part numbers please?

Hi roger, fine thanks. So the type of belt you need will depend on the type of compressor fitted to the vehicle. Because there were 2 possible types of A/C compressor fitted (Sanden or Delphi) and these used different sized belts. I will list both the types with the OEM quality belt alongside their cheaper alternatives, so you have the choice of OEM or alternatives, within the Sanden or Delphi option.

So basically the length of belt depends on the type of compressor fitted.

(20) Alternator Belts:

Sanden OEM belt, (K6 - LE 1736), part: 5750YF, £54.85
PSA Cheaper Alternative for Sanden Comp. (Poly V), part: 1606353780, £19.39

Delphi OEM Belt (K6 - LE 1750), part: 5750YG, £54.85
PSA Cheaper Alternative for Delphi (Poly V), part: 1606353980, £25.94

Good to hear you’re keeping well.

14mm difference! That’s nothing especially given the serpentine route. That’s the heads-up on the fact there are two different condensers too.

The price of the alternative is very reasonable considering its length. I’ll see if I can get a nice Hutchinson one from my bearing suppliers. If I had the time and inclination I’d probably see if I could change the tensioner bearings too. I guess someone must have tried it. It wouldn’t be easy that’s for sure.

The length I was seeing as 1660 as the alternative. 90mm difference would be huge and I had problems finding a suitable belt for the S1 some time back hence not wanting to go through that rigamarole again.

Thanks too for posting the diagram as I can see also that there is a roller no. 5 which I couldn’t remember either. If you have those part numbers too it would be greatly appreciated when you have a moment.
