Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data
I can, no problem, but please post the VIN in full - our software will mask it automatically once you have submitted the post. You have only included 7 and we need the full VIN or the last 8.

or Peugeot do an alternative cheaper one, part: 1610161980 for £142.56

Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data
I'm guessing it's No.1.
Basically the quick release terminal on the battery positive post keeps slipping off as the quick release mechanism no longer seems to be tightening around the pole.
I was hoping the mechanism was separate to the cable but it looks like it's integral.

Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data
Hi, could i put in another request for some part numbers please, each weekend i seem to discover my car needs more stuff fixing! Rather than making separate requests i figured it would be better to ask for all that i currently need info on in one go although the jobs will only be done when time and money are available......so some point next year at this rate!
osf antiroll bar link. There seems to be a couple of different types, or at least superseded versions and an ebay search throws up different types which apparently all fit.
osf lower suspension arm/hub ball joint
front brake discs
front brake pads
rear brake discs
rear brake pads
rear shock absorbers
rear silencer exhaust mounting
and if possible the type of battery, ie 027, 068?... obviously i can get a battery quite easily so i don't really need apart number but my car came with the wrong one on it so i don't know what it should have.
vehicle details VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
rp number 10334 89
If you can get all these part numbers i'd be very grateful but i get that there's a lot and so the antiroll bar link, lower ball joint and the battery are the priority, chances are the rest of the work will be done next year anyway.

Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data
Providing the car has the correct battery you could try battery terminal shims but they are a bit of a last resort imo, i put them on my xantia as i don't intend keeping it much longer and the battery clamps on that are of the conventional type (and they are also in poor condition, hence needing the shims), not push down clamps such as yours. I think these come in different sizes too and it's critical they are a good snug fit, anything remotely loose/insecure and your in a world of trouble (loose terminals = heat = potential fire etc etc)508Allure wrote: ↑14 Oct 2021, 16:14I'm guessing it's No.1.

Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data
Thank you for all this marc, sorry it was such a long list! unfortunately what i wrote was misleading as well! rather than stating "hub" in my previous message i should have just said ball jointGiveMeABreak wrote: ↑16 Oct 2021, 22:49I'll sort this lot out for you in the morning....

Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data
No worries, here you go:
Steering Ball Joint
Item (5) OEM: 381750 £50.11 each
Cheaper: 1607316180 £10.90 each
Lucas Rear Brakes
Rear Discs
OEM: 424934 (DIAM 249 EP 9) each £131.94
Cheaper: 1619237880 each £92.86
Pads
OEM: 425467 £72.18
Cheaper: 1617250480 £20.10
These are all Peugeot original parts for OEM items and the Peugeot approved cheaper parts. If you find the prices for the cheaper parts are comparable to other aftermarket offerings, I would stick with the Peugeot cheaper parts as they at least have the guarantee of being up to the same standards - and personally speaking I would avoid anything from ECP.
