Just an update and you can all have a laugh at my expense!

It turns out the 1130 was the correct length but I had the routing wrong.

Moral of the story:- take a photo before you remove it if you are going to be leaving the car stripped down for any length of time.

I have a video describing the routing in detail if anyone would like me to upload a link to it for future reference. The BoL does not show the routing of a non-AC XUD9TF engine.

Good to hear, I couldn't see it being the wrong size considering the thousands of vehicles out there with this sized belt on :-D

I did wonder about that. :roll:
Some of the "serpentine" belt routes are a bit contorted. On our BX (with A/C) someone has helpfully drawn a route-map on the inner wing, behind the arch liner, which you see when replacing the belt.
Have noticed that Gates often include a picture of their belt path on some of the sites they sell through. Several of these on Mister Auto.

Glad it's all sorted.
