A few other items the shop painted: bumper filler panel, Carrosserie Peugeot tag (mine was the 10758th 404C ever made, of 17,223), under bumper steel spoiler, interior air intake grille.
First batch of plating is back, including chromed steel grille surround, repaired and chromed zinc diecast taillight bezels and cadmium plated hardware:

The badge is new and the anodized grille bars were not refinished.
Details like trial fitting trims and bumpers before the final coat of paint are useful reminders to anyone working on cars. Detail and Prep like these are rarely covered - you usually only get a before and after set of photos.
A tip for anyone working on a car - take as many pictures nowadays as you can, at all stages. Don't rely on memory to reassemble things weeks/months/years later. And don't rely on diagrams from manuals - they often aren't for your particular car/model or year. 50 years of painting and restoring cars taught me that. Write notes, draw diagrams, and, nowadays, take pictures/videos even if it means using a secondhand phone/camera instead of your pristine Smart phone.

The trim above the doors and windscreen, next to the headliner, were raw steel and surface rusted, causing bubbling of the vinyl covering. I had them replated and so this will no longer be a problem.
