Both showing available & thats dealer prices.
They are also both superseded parts so you may find they are modified or improved on the last ones.

Thanks wheeler really appreciate that info.

Just to clarify my thinking on the replacement box was only due to be told the seals were no longer available or more to the point they could not find them, guess they didn't ask Citroen :)
I assume then that the seals are easy ish to replace with the box in situ so will go and get some quotes.

I assume the parts and prices are from Citroen and are still available.

I am really happy with the car,i actually prefer to it the C5 we have but i need to get these seals sorted.
Whilst i have a garage i trust i was just wondering if anyone could give me a heads up on what the book time from Citroen would be to do the job?
I know i can get the seals and get someone to do the job just thinking about the fact the seal part numbers are super seeded from originals so maybe i should just chuck it to the main dealer to sort out ?

The book time to remove & refit both driveshafts is 1.8 hours, This includes replacement of the oils seals as they are meant to be replaced every time the driveshafts are removed.

Thanks wheeler that is the info i needed to start asking for quotes :)
Seals themselves for the pair are around the £85(inc vat) mark so add 2 hours labour(+ vat) gives me a figure i can compare with quotes :)

Time goes by so quickly :)
Have a week off work and the C4 has been perfect ( for a Citroen :) ) so it is going in for MOT next week and i know its not good practice but i have done nothing about the seals :(
However i am going to my main dealer tomorrow to order both seals and have instructed my trusted garage to fit them whilst it has its MOT and service.
Fingers crossed lol

Ok just a quick update as i still need some advice as usual and the MOT runs out on 22/7 so i have a little bit of wriggle room :)
I ordered both seals from Citroen, both on back order so waited 18 days waiting for a call to say the parts were in before i finally decided to chase them.
Apparently one of the seals has a new part number and the old part number is not valid so they did not dispatch the old part number seal or contacted me to see if i wanted the new part number ???
So today finally picked up both seals as they had the new seal on the shelf but i am a little unsure if it is the correct part.

The replacement seal is for the part number 1675689680 pictures below

I also needed to get 2 new front tyres as they were getting very close to the limit, however i have been lax in checking them and both fronts were wearing very badly on the inner edges although the other 75% of width were above the legal minimum depth.
So bearing in mind i have had a broken front spring and replaced both front springs i was a little bit shocked at the tracking report as the car does not vibrate or veer when driving.

Not getting the tracking done yet as when i get the seals replaced it will need redoing anyway but any thoughts on should a garage check the tracking after replacing front springs as the O/S/F track rod end needs heating up to free it off so i know it was not done when the springs were replaced.

Below is the tracking report :)

Just a quick update on the part number for the seal in the pictures above.
i have phoned a couple of Citroen Dealerships outside of my local area and i have been informed the part number 1675689680 has been replaced by 9837728580 as the original part number is showing as unavailable and requested to order 9837728580 as a replacement.

Fingers crossed it is the correct part as it does look the picture in the parts diagram :)

Just a quick update.

The seal part numbers appear to be correct as both were fitted and no more leaks :)
Price for MOT full service oil/air/fuel/pollen filter and oil change + both driveshaft seals replaced inc gear box oil top up £ 499.50

That i think is pretty fair and no advisories on the MOT :)
