Interim update.

I've managed to source what looks to be an identical replacement complete with couplings from a specialist Citroen Breakers here in Essex.

Picking it up tomorrow and hopefully my mechanic will be able to do a quick switchover.

All sorted!

First a shout out for Edward & Sons in Billericay Essex, a Citroen used spares specialist who offered two options. First the Priming Bulb I initially asked for, which I'm sure could have worked and on request a second with identical angled fittings at either end, the only difference being that the existing lower fuel line was 6mm and the replacement looked like it had 8mm piping attached.

We could clip the new bulb and top fitting straight into position using the same quick release catch but to use the lower line would need to extract the angled fitting from the bulb, something that i'd read about on another forum where it was said to be quite difficult due to the serrations holding it in place. The suggestion to use a hair drier to warm the rubber to simplify extraction was overlooked in favour of a 5 second blast with a blowtorch, a twist and pull and in seconds the two came apart! The old lower fitting with line was extracted just as quickly, eased into the replacement bulb, reconnected and in 5-10 minutes plus some 30 or so squeezes of the bulb we were good to go and she fired up after a couple of turns.

Thankyou to everybody for your help and suggestions. The ease at which the old fittings could be removed from the damaged bulb suggests that, given the right sizing to accommodate them, a marine, ebay, or other bulb may also have worked?

I did suggest just that early on, iirc. (although not the blowtorch).
No matter - you got a result!
