Exactly as here Jonathan! My Saxo has been very, very good in all the time I've had it and it's been a few years now... All it's cost me is an exhaust system, a pair of tyres, brake pads and normal service items...

They're good cars :D

Do you know if the gear selector shaft oil seal can replaced without splitting the gearbox? (Not the driveshaft seals) Mine has been leaking for years, really bugs me, would like to fix it also have drips of engine oil coming from between the engine and gearbox, i think its the rear main seal, but its fairly minimal for now.

Found the problem, the ball joint is loose, unbelievable i only bave 2 months driving on the new wishbones and they are shot already! I now hammered the joints out and going to buy new ones and dont know if i will install them by freezing the ball joint and heating the wishbones or get someone to press them for me

May I suggest you look for a reputable make (ideally an OEM supplier). Some makes of parts are just good enough to get a vehicle through an MoT and then a fast sale, while other makes are built for the long haul (more expensive, but not always very expensive).

If you want them to last use quality branded parts... it's a false economy buying cheaper parts as you end up buying them 2, 3 or more times...

True and the ball joints are a bastard to remove, took 1 hour of hammering and heating to remove both sides
